Marine debris is material from the remnants of the product left or thrown into the sea by humans either intentionally or unintentionally dumped in the marine environment. This research aims are to know the type, weight, composition, distribution, and density of marine debris on Merak Beach. This research was conducted on Merak Beach Cilegon City Banten Province in January-February 2023. The method used in this study is the purposive method referring to the Marine Debris Monitoring Guidebook by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry 2020. The type of marine waste was dominated by plastic. The amount of marine debris found was 1,506 pieces and the total weight was 13,652.7 g. The highest percentage amount of waste is plastic at 90.4%, while the highest percentage by weight is rubber at 56.5%. The distribution of marine debris is most abundant in areas far from the sea with the highest density of 9 types/m² (plastic) and a weight of 58.3 g/m² (rubber).
