Abstract

This study aims to describe the Role of the Smart House Program in Instilling Character (Case Study at Al-Ikhlas Smart House in Serang City). starting from the planning, implementation, evaluation and instilling character values. The research method used is qualitative research with descriptive studies with data collection techniques namely observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis using the Milles and Huberman models includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The validity of this research data uses triangulation. The results of the research, are that the Al-Ikhlas Smart House has instilled character wich can be seen from the planning stage namely 1) determining the goals of character education based on its vision and mission, 2) compiling programs or activities at the Smart House, and 3) integrating character values. The implementation stage of character building at Smart House is carried out in 4 processes, namely 1) integrating character values in all subject contained in the lesson plans, 2) integrating character values in daily activities including routine habituation, applying exemplary, spontaneity and conditioning, 3) integrating programmed character values including daily, weekly, monthly, yearly activities and extracurricular activities, and 4) building communication and collaboration between schools and parents of students. The evaluation stage is carried out byhow to make observations of student behavior and evaluation by giving questions or exercises in the from of tests orally or in writing. The character of stundet has been embedded through the Al-Ikhlas Smart House program, namely religious values, nationalist vales, integrity values, bathing vales, and mutual cooperation values.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan Peran Program Rumah Pintar Dalam Menanamkan Karakter (Studi Kasus di Rumah Pintar Al-Ikhlas Kota Serang) mulai dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan penanaman nilai-nilai karakter. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan studi deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta verifikasi/penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi. Adapun hasil penelitian yakni Rumah Pintar Al-Ikhlas dalam menanamkan karakter dapat dilihat dari tahap perencanaan yakni 1) menentukan tujuan pendidikan karakter yang berdasarkan visi dan misi nya, 2) menyusun program atau kegiatan-kegiatan di Rumah Pintar, dan 3) mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter. Tahap pelaksanaan dalam penanaman karakter di Rumah Pintar dilakukan 4 proses yakni 1) mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter pada seluruh mata pelajaran yang termuat didalam RPP, 2) mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam kegiatan sehari-hari meliputi pembiasaan rutin, menerapkan keteladanan, spontanitas, dan pengkondisian, 3) mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter yang diprogramkan meliputi kegiatan harian, mingguan, bulanan, tahunan dan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler, dan 4) membangun komunikasi dan kerjasama antara sekolah dan orang tua peserta didik. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan dengan dengan cara dengan melakukan observasi terhadap perilaku peserta didik dan evaluasi dengan cara memberikan soal atau latihan baik berbentuk tes secara lisan maupun tulisan. Adapun karakter peserta didik sudah tertanam melalui program Rumah Pintar Al- Ikhlas yakni nilai religius, nilai nasionalis, nilai integritas, nilai mandiri dan nilai gotong royong.
