Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the physical work environment (X1) and work discipline (X2) on employee performance (Y) with job satisfaction (Z) as an intervening variable at PT. Arfindo Jaya Mandiri. The method used in this research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study was 80 employees at PT. Arfindo Jaya Mandiri. This research sample uses the entire research population using census sampling. The data analysis technique in this research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the student version of the SmartPLS 3.0 analysis tool. The results of this research show that: (1) the physical work environment has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance, (2) work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (3) employee performance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, (4) work discipline has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, (5) job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (6) job satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between the environment and employee performance, and (7) job satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between work discipline and employee performance .

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja fisik (X1) dan disiplin kerja (X2) terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y) dengan kepuasan kerja (Z) sebagai variabel intervening pada PT. Arfindo Jaya Mandiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 80 orang karyawan pada PT. Arfindo Jaya Mandiri. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh populasi penelitian dengan menggunakan sampling sensus. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan menggunkan alat analisis SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) lingkungan kerja fisik berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, (2) disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, (3) kinerja karyawan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, (4) disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, (5) kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, (6) kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi hubungan lingkungan dengan kinerja karyawan, dan (7) kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi hubungan disiplin kerja dengan kinerja karyawan.
