Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the best concentration of citronella extract (Cymbopogon nardus L.) in controlling cassava pink mealybug (Phenacoccus manihoti) on cassava plants (Manihot esculenta).This research was carried out from March 2023 to May 2023 at the Primary Plant Protection Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. This research used a Completely Randomized Design with four replications and consisted of one factor, the concentration of the vegetable pesticide extract of citronella extract which consisted of six levels, 0%, 4%, 8%, 12%, 16% and 20%. The parameters observed were mealybug mortality (%), lethal time 50%, as well as changes in morphology and pest behavior. The results showed that concentrations of 4%, 8%, 12%, 16% and 20% had a very significant effect on mealybug mortality. Application of vegetable pesticides with a concentration of 20% provides the fastest 50% lethal time within 24 hours. Morphological changes have a significant effect on black color changes and have no effect on brown and yellow color changes. Rapid death of cassava pink mealybug occurs at high concentration levels.

Additional Information: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi terbaik ekstrak serai wangi (Cymbopogon nardus L.) dalam mengendalikan kutu putih singkong merah muda (Phenacoccus manihoti) pada tanaman singkong (Manihot esculenta).Penelitian ini adalah dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2023 sampai dengan Mei 2023 di Gedung Pratama Proteksi Tanaman Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Ini Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan empat ulangan dan terdiri dari satu faktor yaitu konsentrasi ekstrak pestisida nabati ekstrak serai wangi yang terdiri dari enam taraf yaitu 0%, 4%, 8%, 12%, 16% dan 20%. Parameter yang diamati adalah kematian kutu putih (%), waktu kematian 50%, dan juga kematian kutu putih (50%). seperti perubahan morfologi dan perilaku hama. Hasilnya menunjukkan hal itu konsentrasi 4%, 8%, 12%, 16% dan 20% memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap kematian kutu putih. Penerapan pestisida nabati dengan konsentrasi 20% memberikan waktu mematikan 50% tercepat dalam waktu 24 jam. Perubahan morfologi berpengaruh nyata terhadap perubahan warna hitam dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap coklat dan perubahan warna kuning. Kematian cepat kutu putih singkong merah muda terjadi pada suhu tinggi tingkat konsentrasi.
