Abstract

The stink bugs are one of the pests capable of reducing the quality of agricultural production, especially in Edamame soybean. Because of this, the purpose of the research was to know the effects of basil pesticides on stink bug pests in Edamame soybean plants (Glycine max. L. Merril). The method used in this research was the non-factorial Randomized Complete Block Design method with four levels of basil vegetable pesticide treatment applied to Edamame soybean plants without pesticide, 25 ml/liter, 50 ml/liter, and 90 ml/liter. The research results showed that both black stink bugs and pod-sucking stink bugs had damage scores ranging from moderate to very severe, Indicating that the applied basil pesticide did not significantly affect the pest infestation intensity. The percentage of pod damage at 50 ml/liter, showing the highest attack percentage effect at 50 Days After Planting with a mild attack category in all pesticide treatments (16-25%). Recommended pesticides must be considered by increasing the basil concentration, refining pesticide formulation methods, and incorporating surfactants for improved efficacy.

Additional Information: Kepik merupakan salah satu hama yang mampu menurunkan kualitas produksi pertanian, khususnya pada kedelai Edamame. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pestisida kemangi terhadap hama kepik pada tanaman kedelai Edamame (Glycine max. L. Merril). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap non faktorial dengan empat taraf perlakuan pestisida nabati kemangi yang diterapkan pada tanaman kedelai Edamame tanpa pestisida, yaitu 25 ml/liter, 50 ml/liter, dan 90 ml/liter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepik hitam dan kepik penghisap buah mempunyai skor kerusakan sedang hingga sangat parah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pestisida kemangi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap intensitas serangan hama. Persentase kerusakan polong pada dosis 50 ml/liter, menunjukkan persentase pengaruh serangan tertinggi pada 50 Hari Setelah Tanam dengan kategori serangan ringan pada seluruh perlakuan pestisida (16-25%). Saran pestisida yang direkomendasikan harus mempertimbangkan peningkatan konsentrasi kemangi dan penyempurnaan metode formulasi pestisida.
