Abstract

Conservation education teaching materials are important to develop in elementary school learning for instilling the value of awareness and concern for the environment and its problems. This research and development aims to describe the development process, feasibility, and students' responses to conservation education teaching materials on the topic of ecosystems in IPAS subjects for fifth grade elementary school. This research uses the method Reseacrh & Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews for needs analysis, product feasibility validation questionnaires for material, media and language experts, and questionnaires of students' responses for fifth grade elementary school students. This research uses descriptive analysis based on Likert and Guttman scales as the data analysis with interpretation referring to Riduwan's criteria. The subjects in this research were 31 students in fifth grade of SDN Sepring for the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of this research is the product development in the form of conservation education teaching materials on the topic of ecosystems in the IPAS subject for fifth grade elementary school. Based on the results of product validation, material expert validation obtained an average score of 94.48% with very feasible criteria, media expert validation obtained an average score of 88.5% with very feasible criteria, and language expert validation obtained an average score of 82.5% with very feasible criteria. So, the overall percentage of product feasibility reached 88.49% with very feasible criteria and student responses obtained a percentage of 96.85% with very good criteria. Thus, conservation education teaching materials on the topic of ecosystems in the IPAS subject for fifth grade elementary school are very suitable and very good for use in the learning process of students in fifth grade elementary school.

Additional Information: Bahan ajar pendidikan konservasi penting untuk dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar dalam rangka menanamkan nilai kesadaran serta kepedulian terhadap lingkungan dan permasalahannya. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan, kelayakan, dan respon peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar pendidikan konservasi dengan topik ekosistem pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Reseacrh & Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara untuk analisis kebutuhan, angket validasi kelayakan produk untuk ahli materi, media, dan bahasa, serta angket respon peserta didik kelas V SD. Analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis deskriptif berdasarkan skala likert dan Guttman dengan interpretasi yang mengacu pada kriteria Riduwan. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 31 peserta didik kelas V SDN Sepring tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah produk pengembangan berupa bahan ajar pendidikan konservasi dengan topik ekosistem pada mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas V SD. Berdasarkan hasil validasi produk, validasi ahli materi memperoleh rerata skor 94,48% dengan kriteria sangat layak, validasi ahli media memperoleh rerata skor 88,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak, dan validasi ahli bahasa memperoleh rerata skor 82,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Maka keseluruhan persentase kelayakan produk mencapai 88,49% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan respon peserta memperoleh persentase 96,85% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar pendidikan konservasi dengan topik ekosistem pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V SD sangat layak dan sangat baik untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didik di kelas V SD.
