Abstract

This research was carried out on Jl. Trip Jamaksari, Serang Banten. The time for carrying out this research is in May 2023. The aim of this research is to determine the response of providing long periods of LED lighting and different planting media compositions on the growth and production of red spinach microgreens (Amaranthus tricolor L). The research method uses an experimental method with a Divided Plot Design (Split plot) which consists of two factors, namely the length of exposure to LED lights as the main plot and the type of planting media as the sub plot. Consisting of 2 factors with 3 repetitions. The parameters of this research are plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight with roots, fresh weight crown, root length, and anthocyanin content. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and tested further with DMRT at a level of 5%. The results showed that in terms of plant height, the L1M1 treatment combination gave the best results at 5.31 cm, the number of leaves in the M1 treatment (Cocopeat planting medium) was 2 pieces and there was no interaction between L and M treatments, fresh wet weight in the L4M1 treatment combination interaction was 13.12 grams, canopy wet weight in the L4M1 treatment combination interaction was 11.12 grams, the highest anthocyanin content in the treatment L2M3 was 27.11, and the highest root length in the L4M2 treatment interaction was 3.76 cm.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jl. Trip Jamaksari, Serang Banten. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian ini yaitu pada bulan Mei 2023. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respons pemberian lama penyinaran lampu LED dan komposisi media tanam yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi microgreens bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor L). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode ekperimental dengan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split plot) yang terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu lama penyinaran lampu LED sebagai main plot dan jenis media tanam sebagai sub plot. Terdiri atas 2 faktor dengan 3 kali ulangan. Parameter penelitian ini yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot segar dengan akar, bobot segar tajuk, panjang akar, dan kandungan antosianin. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan diuji lanjut dengan DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tinggi tanaman, kombinasi perlakuan L1M1 memberikan hasil terbaik sebesar 5,31 cm, jumlah daun pada perlakuan M1 (media tanam cocopeat) sebesar 2 helai dan tidak terjadi interaksi antara perlakuan L dan M, bobot basah segar pada interaksi kombinasi perlakuan L4M1 sebesar 13,12 gram, bobot basah tajuk pada interaksi kombinasi perlakuan L4M1 sebesar 11,12 gram, kandungan antosianin tertinggi pada perlakuan L2M3 sebesar 27,11, dan panjang akar tertinggi pada interaksi perlakuan L4M2 sebesar 3,76 cm
