Abstract

Teaching materials in some schools are still limited, because teachers only use chemistry textbook. This causes students to have difficulty visualizing submicroscopic concepts, as a result students cannot fully understand the material, for example voltaic cells. Voltaic cells are chemical materials whose understanding process needs to be linked to macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic aspects. Therefore, this research aims to produce a chemo edutainment based learning e-module using a problem based learning model on voltaic cell material, as well as determine the feasibility and response of students to the use of this electronic module. This research uses research and development method with the ADDIE model research stages. The data collection techniques used are literature study, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Material, media, and question validation sheets questionnaires were used by 6 validators to determine the feasibility of the electronic module, while student response questionnaires were used by 20 students in class XII Science at Maulana Yusuf High School to determine students responses to the use of the electronic module. Based on the research results, the chemo edutainment based learning e-module using a problem based learning model on voltaic cell material was declared suitable for use with an overall average validiy value of 0,901 for material validation, 0,916 for media validation, 0,885 for essay question validation, and 0,922 for multiple choice question validation. Then, students responded very well to the use of chemo edutainment based learning e-module using a problem based learning model on voltaic cell material with an overall average percentage score of 89%.

Additional Information: Bahan ajar di beberapa sekolah masih terbatas, karena pendidik hanya menggunakan buku teks kimia. Hal ini membuat peserta didik kesulitan dalam memvisualisasikan konsep yang berbentuk submikroskopik, akibatnya peserta didik tidak dapat memahami materi secara utuh, contohnya materi sel volta. Sel volta adalah materi kimia yang proses pemahamannya perlu dikaitkan dengan aspek makroskopik, submikroskopik, dan simbolik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-modul pembelajaran berbasis chemo edutainment menggunakan model problem based learning pada materi sel volta, serta mengetahui kelayakan dan respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan modul elektronik tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development dengan tahapan penelitian model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Angket lembar validasi materi, media, dan soal digunakan oleh 6 validator untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari modul elektronik, sedangkan angket respon peserta didik digunakan oleh 20 peserta didik di kelas XII IPA SMA Maulana Yusuf untuk mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan modul elektronik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, e-modul pembelajaran berbasis chemo edutainment menggunakan model problem based learning pada materi sel volta dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan nilai rata-rata kevalidan secara keseluruhan sebesar 0,901 untuk validasi materi, 0,916 untuk validasi media, 0,885 untuk validasi soal uraian, dan 0,922 untuk validasi soal pilihan ganda. Kemudian, peserta didik memberikan respon sangat baik terhadap penggunaan e-modul pembelajaran berbasis chemo edutainment menggunakan model problem based learning pada materi sel volta dengan nilai persentase rata-rata secara keseluruhan sebesar 89%.
