Abstract

The study based on the importance of environmental character in student to prevent environmental damage since early stage. The purpose of sthis study is to analyze the understanding of school member involvement to achieve the title of Adiwiyata, to analyze implementation of Adiwiyata and to describe of students character at SDN Ciceri Serang after involved an attempt to achieve the title of Adiwiyata. This study uses a qualitative case study method. The subject of this study is theacher and students of first grade and six grade. Through triangulation data collection techniques such as interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study has shown that school member have understand about Adiwiyata program after conduct socialization, the school members has involved in activities based on the environment, especially students, the implementation of activities in achieving the Adiwiyata title has resulted in several good habits that must be carried out through the Ratu Melisa school motto (One Meter Radius See Garbage Take) and there are several characters that arise in students after participating in Adiwiyata program activities such as religious character, discipline, responsibility, cooperation and care for the environment.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya karakter peduli lingkungan pada peserta didik guna mencegah rusaknya lingkungan sejak kecil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pemahaman warga sekolah mengenai Adiwiyata, menganalisis keterlibatan warga sekolah dalam meraih gelar Adiwiyata, menganalisis pelaksanaan Adiwiyata dan mendeskripsikan karakter peserta didik di SDN Ciceri Serang setelah terlibat langsung dalam upaya meraih gelar sekolah Adiwiyata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan peserta didik kelas I dan kelas VI, melalui teknik pengumpulan data triangulasi teknik seperti wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa warga sekolah sudah memahami program Adiwiyata setelah adanya sosialisasi, sudah terlibatnya warga sekolah dalam kegiatan yang berbasis lingkungan terutama peserta didik, pelaksanaan kegiatan dalam meraih gelar Adiwiyata menghasilkan beberapa kebiasaan baik yang harus dilakukan melalui moto sekolah Ratu Melisa (Radius Satu Meter Lihat Sampah Ambil) dan terdapat beberapa karakter yang timbul pada peserta didik setelah mengikuti kegiatan program Adiwiyata seperti karakter religius, disiplin, tanggung jawab, bekerja sama dan peduli lingkungan.
