Abstract

Chemistry education has an important focus on thinking about the effect of the production of chemical compounds on the environment. In limiting the use of chemical products in the environment, it is necessary to develop the concept of green chemistry contained in the 12 principles of green chemistry. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of virtual green chemistry laboratory media, the feasibility of virtual green chemistry, the responses of students in using virtual green chemistry laboratories and students’ attitudes towards using virtual green chemistry laboratories on the topic of electrolytes to stimulate students’ conservation attitudes. The method used in this study is the Borg and Gall development model, with 6 modified stages, 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) design, 4) design validation, 5) design revision, 6) product testing. Data collection techniques were carrired out through green chemistry laboratory virtual service validation sheets on the topic of elecktrolytes to stimulate students’ conservation attitudes, student response questionnaire sheets, and student observation questionnaire sheets in the use of the developed media. The data analysis technique carried out in the validation analysis is using Aiken’s validity with a minimum value of Vcount of 0,87 which in the results of obtaining media validity values for each aspect gets a value greater than Vcount 0,87. Thus, the green chemistry virtual laboratory on the topic of elecktrolytes to stimulate students’ conservation attitudes developed is feasible with valid validity criteria. Based on the results of the students’ responses, they obtained a percentage of each aspect, namely in the aspect of interest 88,3%, material 95% and language 87%. So, the results stated that each questionnaire stated the indicated interval was ≥81%, this stated that the assessment criteria were very good or with very decent information.

Additional Information: Pendidikan kimia memiliki focus penting dalam pemikiran pengaruh produksi senyawa kimia pada lingkungan. Dalam pembatsan pemakaian produk kimia di lingkungan, maka perlu dikembangkan konsep kimia hijau yang terdapat pada 12 prinsip Green Chemistry. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil media virtual laboratorium green chemistry, kelayakan virtual green chemistry, respon peserta didik dalam penggunaan virtual laboratorium green chemistry dan sikap siswa dalam penggunaan virtual laboratorium green chemistry pada topic elektrolit untuk menstimulus sikap konservasi siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Borg and Gall, dengan 6 tahap yang sudah dimodifikasi, 1) potensi dan masalah, 2) Pengumpulan Data, 3) Desain, 4) Validasi Desain, 5) Revisi Desain dan 6) Uji coba Produk. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi kelayan virtual laboratorium green chemistry pada topik elektrolit untuk menstimulus sikap konservasi siswa, lembar angket respon peserta didik, dan lembar angket observasi peserta didik dalam penggunaan media yang dikembangkan. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan pada analisis validasi adalah menggunakan validitas Aiken’s dengan nilai minimum Vhitung 0,87 yang dimana dalam hasil perolehan nilai validitas media tiap aspek mendapatkan nilai lebih besar dari Vhitung 0,87. Maka, virtual laboratorium green chemistry pada topik elektrolit untuk menstimulus sikap konservasi siswa yang dikembangkan layak dengan kriteria validitas valid. Berdasarkan hasil respon peserta didik memperoleh persentase dari tiap aspek, yaitu dalam aspek ketertarikan 88,3%, materi 95% dan bahasa 87%. Maka, hasil tersebut dinyatakan bahwa tiap angket menyatakan interval yang ditunjukan yaitu ≥81%, hal ini menyatakan bahwa keriteria penilaian sangat baik atau dengan keterangat sangat layak.
