Abstract
This research aims to determine the role of behavior modification self management techniques with self monitoring strategies, antecedent manipulation, self praise and self instruction, self evaluation, and self reinforcement in reducing blindism behavior in blind children at Al-Azhar 10 Serang Islamic Kindergarten. The type of research used is experimental research with a single subject research (SSR) approach with an A-B-A design. The target behavior in this research is to reduce blindism behavior by increasing the ability to manage oneself. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests in the baseline-1, intervention and baseline-2 phases. The data obtained were analyzed using within-condition analysis and between-condition analysis. The research results showed that there was an increase in the mean level of the target behavior. The mean level of application of self-management techniques in the baseline-1 phase was 0%, then increased significantly after being given behavior modification treatment with self-management techniques in the intervention phase by 80.5%. After treatment was stopped, the baseline-2 phase obtained a mean level of 72.25%. The mean level of frequency of occurrence of blindism baseline-1 was 12.25, then decreased significantly by 3.75. After the treatment was stopped, the baseline-2 phase obtained a mean level of 2. The mean level of application of self-management techniques in baseline-2 increased significantly compared to baseline-1. This is inversely proportional to the frequency of occurrence of blindism which decreased from baseline-1 to baseline- 2. So it can be concluded that the results of this research can answer the hypothesis that the application of self-management techniques can reduce blindism behavior in blind children at Al-Azhar 10 Serang Islamic Kindergarten.

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan single subjek research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Target behavior pada penelitian ini adalah mengurangi perilaku blindism dengan meningkatkan kemampuan mengelola diri sendiri. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pada fase baseline-1, intervensi, fase baseline-2. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis dalam kondisi dan analisis antar kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan mean level pada target behavior. Hasil mean level penerapan teknik self management pada fase baseline-1 adalah 0%, lalu meningkat secara signifikan setelah diberikan perlakuan modifikasi perilaku dengan teknik self management pada fase intervensi sebesar 80,5%. Setelah perlakuan dihentikan, fase baseline-2 memperoleh mean level sebanyak 72,25%. Hasil mean level frekuensi kemunculan blindism baseline-1 adalah 12,25, lalu menurun secara signifikan sebesar 3,75. Setelah perlakuan dihentikan, fase baseline-2 memperoleh mean level sebanyak 2. pada Mean level penerapan teknik self management baseline-2 mengalami kenaikan secara signifikan dibanding dengan baseline-1 hal tersebut berbanding terbalik dengan frekuensi kemunculan blindism yang menurun dari baseline-1 ke baseline-2. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian ini dapat menjawab hipotesis bahwa penerapan teknik self managemnet dapat mengurangi perilaku blindism pada anak tunanetra di TK Islam Al-Azhar 10 Serang. | |||||||||
