Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of biological fertilizer doses on the growth and yield of three varieties of sweet corn. This research was experimental in nature and was carried out from February to May 2023 at the Experimental Field of the Untirta Faculty of Agriculture in Cikuya Village, Sindangsari Village, Pabuaran District, Serang Banten. This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors, namely the concentration of biofertilizer and the sweet corn variety. The first factor was the concentration of GreenWay biofertilizer, which consisted of 3 levels, namely 2 l/ha (A1), 4 l/ha (A2), and 6 l/ha (A3), and the second factor was sweet corn varieties with 3 levels, namely: Super Sweet Corn (B1), Paragon (B2), and Exotic (B3). The results showed that the greenway biofertilizer with a concentration of 6 l/ha had a significant effect on the growth and yield of sweet corn, with an average value for the parameters of plant height at 8 WAP 208.47 cm, number of leaves at 8 WAP 14.08 leaves, stem diameter at 8 WAP 26.22 mm, cob weight 415.39 g per plot, cob weight without cob planting 324.58 g, corn shell weight per cob 203.33 g, and power yield 14,650.21 kg/ha. Only the number of cobs planted and plots had of significant effect. Given of the best variety, namely the super sweet corn variety, had a significant effect on the growth and yield of sweet corn plants, with an average value on the parameters of plant height at 8 WAP 219.33 cm, number of leaves at 8 WAP 14.11 strands, stem diameter at 8 WAP 26.57 mm, cob weight 414.39 g planted, cob weight 5.43 kg per plot, cob weight without cob planted 332.00 g, corn shell weight per cob 203.69 g, and yield potential was 13,415.64 kg/ha. Only the number of cobs planted and plots had a significant effect. There is an interaction between the concentration of greenway biofertilizer and several varieties of corn plants on plant growth, namely the diameter of the stem of the sweet corn plant at the age of 6 WAP. The best interaction on 6 WAP was found in 6 l/ha doses and Super Sweet Corn Varieties.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian eksperimen, yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan bulan Mei 2023 bertempat di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Untirta di Kampung Cikuya Desa Sindangsari Kecamatan Pabuaran, Serang Banten. Percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 faktor, yaitu konsentrasi pupuk hayati dan varietas jagung manis. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi pupuk hayati yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 2 l/ha (A1), 4 l/ha (A2), dan 6 l/ha (A3) dan faktor kedua adalah varietas jagung manis dengan 3 taraf yaitu: Super Sweet Corn (B1), Paragon (B2), dan Eksotic (B3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk hayati GreenWay dengan dosis 6 ℓ/ha memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis, dengan nilai rata-rata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 8 MST 208,47 cm, jumlah daun umur 8 MST 14,08 helai, diameter pangkal batang umur 8 MST 26,22 mm, bobot tongkol berkelobot pertanaman 415,39 g, bobot tongol berkelobot perpetak 5,93 kg, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot pertanaman 324,58 g, bobot pipil jagung pertongkol 203,33 g, dan daya hasil 14.650,21 kg/ha. Hanya pada parameter jumlah tongkol pertanaman dan perpetak tidak berpengaruh nyata. Pemberian varietas terbaik yaitu varietas Super Sweet Corn, memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis, dengan nilai rata-rata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 8 MST 219,33 cm, jumlah daun umur 8 MST 14,11 helai, diameter pangkal batang umur 8 MST 26,57 mm, bobot tongkol berkelobot pertanaman 414,39 g, bobot tongol berkelobot perpetak 5,43 kg, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot pertanaman 332,00 g, bobot pipil jagung pertongkol 203,69 g, dan daya hasil 13.415,64 kg/ha. Hanya pada parameter jumlah tongkol pertanaman dan perpetak tidak berpengaruh nyata. Terdapat interaksi antara dosis pupuk hayati GreenWay dan beberapa varietas tanaman jagung terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman yaitu pada parameter diameter pangkal batang tanaman jagung manis pada umur 6 MST. Interaksi terbaik 6 MST terdapat pada Dosis 6 l/ha dan varietas Super Sweet Corn.
