Abstract

The background of this research is based on observations made by researchers at LKP BEST in Serang City, there are students who only take courses only during exam season, many also stop when the course program is not finished and there are students who attend class as they please. This problem is there a relationship between the interaction of tutors and the level of discipline with the learning interests of students at LKP BEST in Serang City? This study used quantitative techniques with correlational research techniques and the sample used was 65 people, namely all students at LKP BEST in Serang City. This research instrument uses a Likert scale. The research data were analyzed using Product Moment correlation. The results of the study after being given a questionnaire about the relationship between tutor interaction and discipline level with students' interest in learning at LKP BEST in Serang City based on calculations for the interaction between tutors and students' interest in learning at LKP best obtained a significance value of 0.000004 and a correlation coefficient of 0.538416, so that Ha is accepted, it can be seen that there is a positive and significant relationship between the tutor interaction variable (X1) and the learning interest (Y) of students at LKP BEST in the medium category. Furthermore, the calculation for the relationship between the level of discipline and the learning interest of students at LKP best obtained a significance value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of 0.611436, so that Ha is accepted, it can be seen that there is a positive and significant relationship between the variable level of discipline (X1) and interest in learning (Y ) students at LKP BEST in the strong category. Finally, the calculation for the relationship between tutor interaction and discipline level with students' interest in learning at LKP best obtained a significance value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of 0.624402, so that Ha is accepted, it can be seen that there is a positive and significant relationship between the tutor interaction variable (X1) and the level discipline (X2) with interest in learning (Y) students at LKP BEST with a strong category. Acceptance of the hypothesis shows that there is a relationship between tutor interaction and the level of discipline with the learning interests of students at LKP BEST in Serang City. If analyzed further, the better the interactions carried out by the tutor will further increase the learning interest of students, also the higher the discipline of students, the higher the interest in learning students will be.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti di LKP BEST Kota Serang terdapat peserta didik yang hanya mengikuuti kursus hanya saat musim ujian saja, banyak juga yang berhenti saat program kursus belum selesai dan ada peserta didik yang menghadiri kelas seenaknya. Permasalahan ini adakah hubungan antara interaksi tutor dan tingkat disiplin dengan minat belajar peserta didik di LKP BEST Kota Serang? Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kuantitatif dengan dengan teknik penelitian korelasional dan sampel yang digunakan adalah 65 orang yaitu keseluruhan peserta didik di LKP BEST Kota Serang. Instrumen penelititan ini menggunakan skala likert. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian setelah diberikan angket tentang hubungan interaksi tutor dan tingkat disiplin dengan minat belajar peserta didik di LKP BEST Kota Serang berdasarkan perhitungan untuk hubungan interaksi tutor dengan minat belajar peserta didik di lkp best diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0.000004 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.538416, sehingga Ha diterima, maka dapat diketahui bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel interkasi tutor (X1) dengan minat belajar (Y) peserta didik di LKP BEST dengan kategori sedang. Selanjutnya perhitungan untuk hubungan tingkat disiplin dengan minat belajar peserta didik di lkp best diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0.000 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.611436, sehingga Ha diterima, maka dapat diketahui bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel tingkat disiplin (X1) dengan minat belajar (Y) peserta didik di LKP BEST dengan kategori kuat. Terakhir perhitungan untuk hubungan interaksi tutor dan tingkat disiplin dengan minat belajar peserta didik di lkp best diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0.000 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.624402, sehingga Ha diterima, maka dapat diketahui bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel interaksi tutor (X1) dan tingkat disiplin (X2) dengan minat belajar (Y) peserta didik di LKP BEST dengan kategori kuat. Diterimanya hipotesis menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan antara interaksi tutor dan tingkat disiplin dengan minat belajar peserta didik di LKP BEST Kota Serang. Jika dianalisis lebih lanjut maka semakin baik interaksi yang dilakukan tutor akan lebih meningkat minat belajar peserta didik, juga semakin tinggi disiplin peserta didik maka akan semakin tinggi pula minat belajar peserta didik.
