Abstract
This study describes how social action in the Serang Street Library Community is an effort to eradicate illiteracy in Serang City. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants involved in this study were the pioneers of the first establishment of the Serang Street Library Community, members, and the general public a total of all informants involved were 7. The results showed that the street library community actions were based on 4 Max Weber social actions, the first was Traditional Social Action. , Affective Social Actions, Value Rational Actions, Means-Purpose Rational Actions, these 4 social actions were carried out for the purpose of reducing the illiteracy rate in Serang City and embracing children who had dropped out of school.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bagaimana tindakan sosial di dalam Komunitas Perpustakaan Jalanan Serang sebagai upaya pemberantasa buta aksara di Kota Serang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi,wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini merupakan para pelopor pertama kali pembentukan Komunitas Perpustakaan Jalanan Serang, Anggota, dan Masyarakat umum total semua informan yang terlibat sebanyak 7. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tindakan komunitas perpustakaan jalanan didasari dari 4 tindakan sosial Max Weber yang pertama Tindakan Sosial Tradisional, Tindakan Sosial Afektif, Tindakan Rasional Nilai, Tindakan Rasioanal Sarana-Tujuan, 4 tindakan sosial tersebut mereka lakukan untuk tujuan mengurangi angka buta aksara di Kota Serang dan merangkul anak anak yang putus sekolah. | |||||||||
