Abstract

Masa transisi merupakan masa yang penuh tantangan dari fase dunia pendidikan ke dunia kerja. Salah satu profesi yang mengalami masa tersebut adalah guru pemula khusunya pada guru pemula SMK kompetensi keahlian teknik mekanik industri (TMI). Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui problematika yang di yang dialami guru pemula SMK kompetensi keahlian teknik mekanik industri (TMI) beserta solusinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara secara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Obyek penelitian adalah informasi terkait permasalahan dan solusi guru pemula SMK kompetensi keahlian Teknik Mekanik Industri saat masa transisi. Subyek penelitian adalah guru pemula SMK program keahlian Teknik Mekanik Industri dengan pengalaman mengajar kurang dari 3 tahun. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah peneliti sendiri dengan bantuan pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data di lakukan dengan model Miles dan Huberman dengan teknik coding atau pengkodean. Dari hasil penelitian, di dapatkan problematika yang di alami guru pemula SMK program keahlian Teknik Mekanik Industri (TMI) pada aspek kompetensi guru, karakter siswa, hubungan dengan rekan kerja dan sarana dan prasarana. Solusi yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi problematika tersebut antara lain melakukan bimbingan kepada siswa, konseling kepada siswa, komunikasi dengan rekan kerja, memahami karakter rekan kerja dan melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).

Additional Information: The transition period is a challenging period from the phase of education to the world of work. One of the professions that experienced this period was a beginner teacher, especially in the beginner teacher of VHS competency in industrial mechanical engineering (IME). The purpose of this study was to determine the problems experienced by beginner teachers of vocational competence in industrial mechanical engineering (IME) and their solutions. This study uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach to data collection techniques using observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The object of research is information related to the problems and solutions of Vocational High School beginner competence of Industrial Mechanical Engineering expertise during the transition period. The subjects of the study were beginner teachers of vocational industrial mechanical engineering expertise program with teaching experience of less than 3 years. The data collection instrument is the researcher himself with the help of observation guidelines and interview guidelines. Data analysis is done with Miles and Huberman models with coding or coding techniques. From the results of the study, in getting the problems experienced by novice teachers vocational industrial mechanical engineering expertise program (IME) on aspects of teacher competence, student character, relationships with colleagues and facilities and infrastructure. Solutions to overcome these problems include guidance to students, counseling to students, communication with colleagues, understanding the character of colleagues and conducting Class Action Research (CAR).
