Abstract
Noise is unwanted sound that disturbs the peace of the environment and human health. Noise above the NAB is indicated to occur at PT XYZ. The company uses grinding and lathe machines to run its work activities. Based on the 2022 Medical Check Up data, there are 0,2% workers in the workshop area experiencing hearing loss and 0,4% workers experiencing symptoms of chest pain and heartbeat. These symptoms indicate that the pulse rate is above the normal limit. Koaguw's (2013) research states that if a person is exposed to noise exceeding the permissible limit, hearing loss will certainly occur. Intensity noise activates sympathetic nerves and induces hormones resulting in increased pulse rate. The study aims to determine the noise level of the workshop area and engineering room, determine the effect of noise on pulse rate and hearing loss. The research method uses a quantitative research type. Based on the results of the chi square test calculation of the effect of noise on the increase in pulse rate, the p value = 0.015 (>0.05), meaning that there is an influence between noise on pulse rate. Meanwhile, the effect of noise on hearing loss was found to have a p value = 0.038 (>0.05), meaning that there is an effect of noise on hearing loss. The conclusion is the noise level in the workshop area is above the NAB of 86.03 dB, while the engineering room area is below the NAB of 56.10 dB, and there is an influence between noise and pulse rate. However, there is no effect on hearing loss.

Additional Information: | Kebisingan ialah suara tak diharapkan sanggup mengganggu ketentraman lingkungan dan kesehatan manusia. Kebisingan di atas NAB terindikasi terjadi di PT. XYZ. Perusahaan menjalankan mesin gerinda dan bubut buat menjalankan aktivitas kerjanya. Berlandaskan data Medical Check Up 2022, tersanggup 0,2% pekerja area workshop mengalami gangguan pendengaran dan 0,4% pekerja mengalami nyeri dada dan jantung berdetak. Gejala tersebut mengindikasikan denyut nadi berada di atas batas normal. Riset Koaguw (2013) menyatakan bila seseorang terpapar kebisingan melebihi batas diperkenankan, dipastikan timbul gangguan pendengaran. Kebisingan dengan intensitas berlebih mengaktifkan saraf simpatis dan menginduksi hormon mengakibatkan peningkatan denyut nadi. Riset bertujuan buat mengetahui tingkat kebisingan area workshop dan ruang engineering, mengetahui pengaruh kebisingan terhadap denyut nadi dan gangguan pendengaran. Metode riset menjalankan jenis riset kuantitatif. Berlandaskan hasil perhitungan test chi square pengaruh kebisingan terhadap peningkatan denyut nadi, diperoleh skor p value = 0,015 (<0,05), artinya tersanggup pengaruh antara kebisingan terhadap denyut nadi. Sedangkan, pengaruh kebisingan terhadap gangguan pendengaran diperoleh skor p value = 0,103 (>0,05), artinya tak tersanggup pengaruh kebisingan terhadap gangguan pendengaran. Kesimpulannya tingkat kebisingan area workshop berada diatas NAB sebanyak 86,03 dB, sedangkan area ruang engineering berada dibawah NAB sebanyak 56,10 dB, tersanggup pengaruh antara kebisingan terhadap peningkatan denyut nadi, namun tak berpengaruh terhadap gangguan pendengaran. | |||||||||
