Abstract

This study aims to develop math foldables learning media in mathematics subject shapes flat perimeter and area of squares, rectangles, and triangles, to determine the feasibility of the developed learning media and to determine the user's response to math foldables learning media, and to measure students' understanding after using math foldables learning media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) which refers to the Borg and Gall development model developed by Sugiyono through 6 stages, namely: (1) Problem Analysis, (2) Data Collection, (3) Product Design, (4) Product Validation. (5) Product Revision, (6) Trial (limited scale). Expert validation was carried out by media experts and material experts, with the research subject being class IV of SDN Bencongan III, totaling 20 students. Data collection was obtained by interviews, observations, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The results of the study were (1) the feasibility level of learning media in terms of design obtained a score of 90% which was included in the "very feasible" category (2) the feasibility level of learning media in terms of material obtained a score of 85.65% which was included in the "very feasible" category (3) the average user response score from students obtained a percentage of 96.3% and the user response from the teacher obtained a percentage of 93.75%, both responses included in the "very good" category (4) the average score of the comprehension test of 83.75% in the "very good" category so that it can be concluded that math foldables learning media is appropriate for use in flat shape material in class IV and can provide understanding to fourth grade students in flat shape mathematics.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran math foldables pada mata pelajaran matematika bangun datar keliling dan luas persegi, persegi panjang, dan segitiga, untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dan untuk mengetahui respon pengguna terhadap media pembelajaran math foldables, serta mengukur pemahaman peserta didik setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran math foldables. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dikembangkan oleh Sugiyono melalui 6 tahapan, yaitu: (1) Analisis Masalah, (2) Pengumpulan Data, (3) Desain Produk, (4) Validasi Produk, (5) Revisi Produk, (6) Uji Coba (skala terbatas). Validasi ahli dilakukan oleh ahli media dan ahli materi, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu kelas IV SDN Bencongan III yang berjumlah 20 peserta didik. Pengambilan data diperoleh dengan wawancara, observasi, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) didapatkan tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran dari segi desain memperoleh skor 90% yang masuk pada kategori "sangat layak" (2) tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran dari segi materi memperoleh skor 85,65% yang masuk pada kategori "sangat layak" (3) skor rata-rata respon pengguna dari peserta didik memperoleh presentase sebesar 96,3% dan respon pengguna dari guru memperoleh presentase 93,75% yang kedua respon tersebut termasuk dalam kategori "sangat baik" (4) skor rata-rata tes pemahaman sebesar 83,75% dengan kategori "sangat baik" sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran math foldables layak digunakan dalam materi bangun datar di kelas IV dan dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta didik kelas IV pada matematika bangun datar.
