Abstract

The problem experienced by high school students, especially in understanding the theory of determining molecular shapes and visualization related to 3D molecular shapes, is the limited use of digital learning media, generally the media used is still textbook-based and the use of conventional mediasuch as molymod and plasticine. This research aims to develop learning media, determine the feasibility and response of students in using interactive multimedia based on ChemGTE Learning (Chemistry: Game, Tutorial and Evaluation) on class X SMA/MA molecular form material. The research method used is the research method and development of the ADDIE model by Marie Branch. The stages carried out are (1) analysis stage through literature studies related to needs in the field, curriculum and KD as well as concept analysis of molecular forms of material, (2) design stage through making concept maps, flowcharts and storyboards, (3) product development and validation test stages media feasibility, (4) implementation stage through limited trials, and (5) evaluation stage. Data collection techniques were carried out through material and media expert validation sheets as well as student response questionnaires. The data obtained came from 7 material and media experts for the appropriateness of learning media as well as 30 student respondents at one of the schools in Serang City to determine responses to media use. The research results show that the validity results from material and media experts obtained an average Vcount > Vtable of 0.86. Then the results of student responses after using interactive multimedia based on ChemGTE Learning (Chemistry: Game, Tutorial and Evaluation) were categorized as "Very Good", with an average percentage result of 87% for 4 aspects : programming, material, display and language.

Additional Information: Permasalahan yang di alami siswa-siswi sekolah menengah atas khususnya dalam memahami teori menentukan bentuk molekul serta visualisasi terkait 3D bentuk molekul yaitu keterbatasan penggunaan media pembelajaran digital, umumnya media yang digunakan masih berbasis buku teks serta penggunaan media konvensional seperti molymod dan plastisin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran, mengetahui kelayakan serta respon siswa dalam menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbasis ChemGTE Learning (Chemistry : Game, Tutorial and Evaluation) pada materi bentuk molekul kelas X SMA/MA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan model ADDIE oleh Marie Branch. Tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu (1) tahap analisis melalui studi literatur terkait kebutuhan dilapangan, kurikulum dan KD serta analisis konsep materi bentuk molekul, (2) tahap desain melalui pembuatan peta konsep, flowchart, dan storyboard, (3) tahap pengembangan produk dan uji validasi kelayakan media, (4) tahap implementasi melalui uji coba terbatas, dan (5) tahap evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi ahli materi dan media serta angket respon siswa. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari 7 ahli materi dan media untuk kelayakan media pembelajaran serta 30 responden peserta didik di salah satu sekolah di Kota Serang untuk mengetahui respon penggunaan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil validitas dari ahli materi dan media memperoleh rata-rata Vhitung > Vtabel sebesar 0.86. Kemudian hasil respon siswa setelah menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbasis ChemGTE Learning (Chemistry : Game, Tutorial and Evaluation) dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”, dengan hasil persentase rata-rata sebesar 87% untuk 4 aspek yaitu aspek pemrograman, materi, tampilan dan bahasa.
