Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the dose and time of application of moringa leaf POC on the growth and yield of mustard greens. This research is located at Green Lake View Residential Land, Depok City, West Java from March to June 2023. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications. The first factor is the POC dose of Moringa leaves consisted of 5 levels: 65 ml/L, 70 ml/L, 75 ml/L, and 80 ml/L. The second factor is the time of application of moringa leaf POC consisted of 3 levels: every 5 days, every 7 day, and every 9 days. The results showed that the application of a Moringa leaf POC at a dose of 80 ml/L had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height (48,58 cm), number of leaves (12,8 leaves), leaf area (255,40 cm²), plant wet weight (187,44 g), and plant dry weight (8,49 g). The application time of Moringa leaf POC every 5 days has a significant effect on the parameters of plant height at 1 weeks after planting (12,70 cm) and 5 weeks after planting (44,25 cm), number of leaves (11,3 leaves), leaf area (187,86 cm²), plant wet weight (153,33 g) and plant dry weight (7,22 g). There was an interaction between the two factors with the best average results from a treatment dose of 80 ml/L with an application time of 5 days on the parameters of number of leaves at 3 weeks after planting and 4 weeks after planting, leaf area, and plant fresh weight.

Additional Information:	Sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas sayuran daun yang memiliki nilai komersial dan prospek yang baik untuk dikembangkan. Mengingat sayuran menjadi salah satu makanan yang senantiasa dikonsumsi setiap hari oleh seluruh kalangan masyarakat Indonesia. Sawi hijau mengandung banyak sumber zat gizi yang baik bagi kesehatan tubuh manusia, seperti vitamin, folat dan serat. Sebagai komoditas hortikultura yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat, maka potensi pengembangan sawi hijau sangat terbuka lebar untuk memenuhi kebutuhan. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi secara maksimal adalah dengan penggunaan benih berkualitas dan teknik budidaya, terutama dalam proses pemupukkan menggunakan pupuk organik cair (POC) didukung dengan pemberian dosis dan waktu pengaplikasian yang tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis dan waktu pengaplikasian POC daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Lahan Perumahan Green Lake View, Kota Depok, Jawa Barat dari bulan Maret-Juni 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis POC daun kelor, terdiri dari 5 perlakuan, yaitu 0 ml/L, 65 ml/L, 70 ml/L, 75 ml/L, 80 ml/L. Faktor kedua adalah waktu pengaplikasian POC daun kelor (Moringa oleifera), terdiri dari 3 perlakuan, yaitu setiap 5 hari, setiap 7 hari, setiap 9 hari, setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali maka diperoleh 45 satuan percobaan. Parameter yang diamati, yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, bobot basah tanaman dan bobot kering tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan dosis POC daun kelor 80 ml/L berpengaruh terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman (48,58 cm), jumlah daun (12,8 helai), luas daun (255,40 cm²), bobot basah tanaman (187,44 g), dan bobot kering tanaman (8,49 g). Sedangkan waktu pengaplikasian POC daun kelor setiap 5 hari sekali berpengaruh terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman umur 1 MST (12,70 cm) dan 5 MST (44,25 cm), jumlah daun (11, 3 helai), luas daun (187,86 cm²), bobot basah tanaman (153,33 g) dan bobot kering tanaman (7,22 g). Terdapat interaksi antara dosis dan waktu pengaplikasian POC daun kelor terhadap parameter jumlah daun umur 3 MST dan 4 MST, luas daun, dan bobot basah tanaman.
