Abstract

This study aims to determine the needs of teacher learning media, to know the process of developing learning media, to find out students’ responses to interactive learning media, and to find out the quality of learning media based on the 2013 curriculum. In this development process, this research using 10 steps of R&D research by Borg and Gall (1983). The learning media developed in this study are in the form of interactive e-modules based on local wisdom in Banten. The material used in this E-module was procedure text material that developed to support students reading skills. In this study the data were obtained using semi-structural interviews, expert judgment validation questionnaire, student response questionnaire, and English teacher of class IX questionnaire. Based on the result of study, the following final data were found: Interactive E-module received validation in operational testing 100% from the material and media expert judgment, while 91% valid from students assessments: in the students response test, the interactive E-module gets an 85% positive responses from 10 questions available, finally in the validation process the quality of the E-module get 81% valid from the teachers assessment.
