Abstract

This research aims to develop an educational game-based learning media called Math-Village for the topic of curved-surface geometrical figures. This learning media was developed because students had difficulty understanding curved-surface geometrical figures because there were many characteristics and formulas. Therefore, the innovation of an educational game, Math-Village, is needed to create a fun learning media for students to facilitate their understanding of the curved-surface geometrical figures topic. This research used Research and Development (R&D) method with ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were students of class IX of SMP Negeri 15 Kota Serang. The results of the validity test of the educational game developed show that this educational game is valid to use because it obtains a score of 77% from educational experts, obtains a value of 72% from media experts, and obtains a value of 78% from subject matter experts. Meanwhile, for the practicality assessment of educational games, the teacher received a "highly practical" category and based on the results of student responses, a score of 87.3% was obtained in the "very good" category.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa game edukasi Math-Village pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung. Media pembelajaran ini dikembangkan karena peserta didik kesulitan memahami materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung akibat banyaknya sifat dan rumus bangun ruang sisi lengkung yang harus dipahami. Oleh karena itu, perlu dikembangkan inovasi media pembelajaran berupa game edukasi Math-Village yang bertujuan untuk menjadi sarana belajar yang menyenangkan bagi peserta didik agar dapat memudahkan dalam memahami materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 15 Kota Serang. Hasil uji validitas dari game edukasi yang telah dikembangkan menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi valid untuk digunakan karena memperoleh nilai sebesar 77% dari ahli bahasa, memperoleh nilai sebesar 72% dari ahli media, serta memperoleh nilai sebesar 78% dari ahli materi. Sedangkan untuk penilaian kepraktisan, game edukasi mendapat kategori “sangat praktis” dan berdasarkan hasil respon peserta didik memperoleh nilai sebesar 87,3% dengan kategori “sangat baik”.
