Abstract

Cilegon City is one of the cities in Banten Province, located on the edge of the Sunda Strait, and is at relatively high risk of being hit by a tsunami disaster. The existence of Mount Anak Krakatau has the potential to cause an earthquake and tsunami in Cilegon City. The coastal area of Cilegon City is a vital area, many infrastructures that support population activities such as industry, economy and tourism will be affected if a tsunami disaster occurs. The aim of this research is to obtain a tsunami hazard and vulnerability map using a Geographic Information System (GIS) with overlay, scoring and weighting methods. The parameters used include height, slope, distance from the coastline, distance from the river line, village boundaries, land use, and toponymy. The level of vulnerability is divided into 5 classes, namely very high, high, medium, low and very low vulnerability. The results of this research obtained a map of tsunami hazard and tsunami vulnerability in the coastal area of Cilegon City. Based on the area, the potential for tsunami hazard in the very high to moderate category occurs in Pulomerak District (2557.04 ha or 23.61%), Gerogol District (2369.10 ha or 21.87%), Citangkil District (2586.79 ha or 23.88%), and Ciwandan District (3317.96 ha or 30.63%). Based on land use on the coast of Cilegon City with an area of 10,733.37 ha which has the greatest level of vulnerability in the very high category on empty/bare land (138.99 ha or 57.48%), the high category on empty/bare land bald (1,408.55 ha or 47.92 %), and medium category in settlements and activity areas (650.93 ha or 20.11 %).

Additional Information: Kota Cilegon adalah salah satu kota yang ada di Provinsi Banten berpotensi terjadi bencana tsunami yang relatif tinggi. Keberadaan Gunung Anak Krakatau di selat sunda dan gempa besar di selatan Banten berpotensi menimbulkan gempa bumi dan tsunami di Kota Cilegon. Wilayah pesisir Kota Cilegon merupakan kawasanan vital, banyak infrastruktur yang mendukung kegiatan penduduk seperti industri, ekonomi, dan pariwisata yang akan terkena dampak apabila terjadi bencana tsunami. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan peta bahaya dan kerentanan tsunami dilakukan dengan menggunakan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dengan metode tumpang susun overlay, skoring, dan pembobotan. Parameter yang digunakan diantaranya ketinggian, kemiringan lereng, jarak dari garis pantai, jarak dari garis sungai, batas desa, tata guna lahan, dan toponimi. Tingkat kerentanan dibagi menjadi 5 kelas yaitu kerentanan sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang, rendah, dan sangat rendah. Hasil penelitian ini didapat peta bahaya tsunami dan kerentanan tsunami di wilayah pesisir Kota Cilegon. Berdasarkan luas wilayah potensi bahaya tsunami kategori sangat tinggi sampai dengan sedang terjadi di Kecamatan Pulomerak (2557.04 ha atau 23.61 %), Kecamatan Gerogol (2369.10 ha atau 21.87 %), Kecamatan Citangkil (2586.79 ha 23.88 %), dan Kecamatan Ciwandan (3317.96 ha atau 30.63%). Berdasarkan tata guna lahan pada pesisir Kota Cilegon dengan luas 10.733,37 ha yang memiliki tingkat kerentanan terbesar kategori sangat tinggi pada tanah kosong/gundul (138,99 ha atau 57,48 %), kategori tinggi pada tanah kosong/gundul (1.408,55 ha atau 47,92 %), dan kategori sedang pada permukiman dan tempat kegiatan (650,93 ha atau 20,11 %).
