Abstract

Universities can develop, and implement curriculum to produce competitive graduates based on core curriculum. The curriculum serves as a guideline that contains plans and regulations for implementing the courses. UNTIRTA's Industrial Engineering program applies and continuously improves its curriculum quality. Each graduate is evaluated based on their final grades, which indicate their success in understanding the courses they have taken, and also reflect the successful implementation of the curriculum. This study analyzes the final grades data of ten courses in the mathematics and statistics group from the 2019 and 2020 cohorts using T2 Hotelling control charts, multivariate capability analysis, five whys analysis, and the 5W+1H method. The phase I control chart for the 2019 cohort is in control, with a UCL of 18,09716, while the 2020 cohort has a UCL of 18,44484 after five data eliminations. The multivariate capability index in this study uses two indices, "pan" and "shah", indices for both the 2019 and 2020 cohorts are less than 1, indicating that the final grades of the students have not met the desired specifications. Based on the five whys analysis, this outcome are due to the online classes, and needs to be improved by making regulations for online classes.

Additional Information: Perguruan tinggi dapat merancang, mengembangkan dan melaksanakan kurikulum dalam membentuk lulusan yang kompetitif berpedoman pada kurikulum inti. Kurikulum menjadi pedoman yang berisi rencana dan regulasi untuk melaksanakan perkuliahan. Teknik Industri UNTIRTA menerapkan kurikulum dan terus meningkatkan kualitas kurikulumnya. Tiap lulusan memiliki nilai akhir sebagai indikator keberhasilan dalam memahami mata kuliah yang diambilnya dan nilai ini jugalah yang dapat menunjukkan keberhasilan pelaksanaan kurikulum. Penelitian ini menganalisis data nilai akhir sepuluh mata kuliah dalam kelompok mata kuliah matematika dan statistika dari angkatan 2019 dan 2020. Metode yang digunakan adalah peta kendali T2 Hotelling, analisis kapabilitas multivariat, five whys analysis, dan metode 5W+1H. Peta kendali fase I angkatan 2019 terkendali dengan UCL sebesar 18,09716 dan UCL angkatan 2020 sebesar 18,44484 setelah dilakukan lima kali eliminasi data. Indeks kapabilitas multivariat dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua indeks, yaitu “pan”, dan “shah”. Hasil indeks kapabilitas multivariat angkatan 2019 dari kedua indeks tersebut kurang dari 1, begitu pula indeks kapabilitas multivariat angkatan 2020. Indeks kapabilitas multivariat tersebut menunjukkan nilai akhir mahasiswa belum mampu memenuhi spesifikasi yang diinginkan. Berdasarkan five whys analysis, hasil tersebut disebabkan oleh pelaksanaan kelas secara daring dan dapat disimpulkan usulan evaluasi menggunakan 5W+1H berupa regulasi dan teknis pelaksanaan kuliah daring agar kualitas dapat ditingkatkan.
