Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of different doses of N and EM4 fertilizers on the vegetative growth of tuber-origin sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.). This research was conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Cikuya Karang Kitri Village, Sindang Sari Village, Pabuaran District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. The research was carried out from October to December 2022. The environmental design used a two-factor randomized block design, the first factor was the difference in single N fertilizer doses and the second factor was the level of EM4 concentration, consisting of 9 combinations repeated 3 times to obtain 27 experimental units. The results of the observations were tested using ANOVA and if the treatment was significantly different it was further tested using 5% DMRT. The results showed that applying different doses of single fertilizer had no significant effect on all the tested parameters, namely the number of shoots, number of leaves, and plant height. Meanwhile, the concentration level of EM4 also did not give significantly different results for all observed parameters. There was an interaction on the number of shoots parameter with plant age 1 MST treated with a single N fertilizer dose of 50 kg/ha without EM4, namely 2.87. However, this study gave quite good results on each factor, although it provided similar results.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan dosis pupuk N dan EM4 terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif ubi jalar asal umbi (Ipomoea batatas L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Desa Cikuya Karang Kitri, Desa Sindang Sari, Kecamatan Pabuaran, Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2022. Rancangan lingkungan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dua faktor, faktor pertama adalah perbedaan dosis pupuk N tunggal dan faktor kedua adalah tingkat konsentrasi EM4 yang terdiri dari 9 kombinasi yang diulang. 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 27 satuan percobaan. Hasil observasi diuji menggunakan ANOVA dan apabila perlakuan berbeda nyata diuji lebih lanjut menggunakan DMRT 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis pupuk tunggal yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter yang diuji yaitu jumlah tunas, jumlah daun, dan tinggi tanaman. Sementara itu, tingkat konsentrasi EM4 juga tidak memberikan hasil yang berbeda nyata untuk seluruh parameter yang diamati. Terdapat interaksi parameter jumlah tunas dengan umur tanaman 1 MST yang diberi perlakuan pupuk N tunggal dosis 50 kg/ha tanpa EM4 yaitu 2,87. Namun penelitian ini memberikan hasil yang cukup baik pada masing-masing faktor, walaupun memberikan hasil yang serupa. | |||||||||
