Abstract

Heteonormativity is a view that makes transwomen subject to discrimination and stigma. The discrimination and stigma received by transwomen in Cianjur Regency cannot be separated from the construction of the majority of Muslim Cianjur society, so that Islamic values are the basis for the community to normalize these actions. Srikandi Panghegar is present as a community that fights heteronormativity in Cianjur Regency. This research uses social movement theory in the LGBT perspective proposed by Mary Bernstein (1997) with qualitative research methods case study approach. The results of this study explain that the spread of identity is a method used in collective action as the goal of social movements in terms of gaining acceptance of stigmatized identities to change institutions, but Srikandi Panghegar has not yet reached the stage of changing institutions because the mobilization of the movement is still focused on the community itself and the movement is only on a small scale at the district level. The spread of identity can then be examined in two forms, namely, identity for critique, and identity for education.

Additional Information:	Heteonormativitas merupakan pandangan yang menjadikan transpuan sebagai subjek diskriminasi dan stigma. Diskriminasi dan stigma yang diterima oleh transpuan di Kabupaten Cianjur tidak terlepas dari konstruksi masyarakat Cianjur yang mayoritas beragama islam, sehingga nilai-nilai keislaman menjadi dasar masyarakat menormalisasi tindakan tersebut. Srikandi Panghegar hadir sebagai komunitas yang melawan heteronormativitas di Kabupaten Cianjur. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori social movement dalam perspektif LGBT yang dikemukakan oleh Mary Bernstein (1997) dengan metode penelitian kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu menjelaskan Penyebaran identitas menjadi cara yang digunakan pada aksi kolektif sebagai tujuan dari gerakan sosial dalam hal mendapatkan penerimaan atas identitas yang terstigmatisasi untuk mengubah institusi, namun Srikandi Panghegar belum sampai pada tahap mengubah institusi karena mobilisasi gerakan masih terfokus pada komunitas itu sendiri serta gerakan hanya pada skala kecil yang berada di tingkat Kabupaten. Penyebaran identitas kemudian dapat diperiksa dengan dua bentuk yaitu, identity for critique (identitas untuk kritik), dan identity for education (identitas untuk edukasi).
