Abstract

Poverty is the primary problem and the first goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), because poverty is a multidimensional problem which means a problem that can aggravate other sectors such as environment, economy, and health. The study aims to analyze how the per capita PDRB variables, Income Distribution Inequality, School Age Averages, Open Unemployment Rates, and Human Development Index influence the Poverty Depth Index in 34 Indonesian provinces. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency for the period from 2012 to 2022. The analysis method used in this study is the Dynamic Panel approach with the GMM model (Generalized Method of Moment). Use of STATA software. The results of this study show that there is a negative and significant impact of the lag variables of the Poverty Depth Index, PDRB per capita and Human Development Index on the poverty depth index and there is positive and significant influence of the variables Income Distribution Inequality, Average Age of Schools, and Open Unemployment Rate on the Povery Depth index in 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2012 to 2022.
