Abstract

Buffer solutions are a type of chemical material that has an abstract concept with concrete examples, so it requires a deep understanding in studying it and requires an appropriate learning model or method. An effort to improve students' understanding of buffer solution material is by implementing the two stay two stray learning model assisted by mind mapping because it can improve students' collaboration skills and creativity. The aim of this research is to determine the increase in students' collaboration and creativity skills. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bandung, Serang Regency, class XI IPA 2, consisting of 30 students. The research design used in this research is the Pre Experimental type with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the N-Gain calculation show that there has been an increase in students' collaboration and creativity skills with N-Gain values respectively being 0.61 and 0.42 which are in the moderate improvement category. These results are supported by the results of hypothesis test calculations using the paired sample t test which obtained a significance value of 0.000 (P<0.05), which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an increase in the value of students' collaboration and creativity skills after applying the two stay two stray learning model assisted by mind mapping in learning buffer solution material.

Additional Information: Larutan penyangga merupakan salah satu materi kimia yang memiliki konsep abstrak dengan contoh konkrit sehingga membutuhkan pemahaman yang mendalam dalam mempelajarinya dan memerlukan model atau metode belajar yang sesuai. Upaya untuk dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi larutan penyangga adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran two stay two stray berbantuan mind mapping karena dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan kreativitas siswa. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi dan kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Bandung Kabupaten Serang kelas XI IPA 2 yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis Pre Experimental dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Hasil perhitungan N-Gain memperlihatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada keterampilan kolaborasi dan kreativitas siswa dengan nilai N-Gain secara berurutan adalah 0,61 dan 0,42 yang termasuk kategori peningkatan sedang. Hasil tersebut didukung dengan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji paired sample t test yang memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0.000 (P<0.05), yang berarti bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pada nilai keterampilan kolaborasi dan kreativitas siswa setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran two stay two stray berbantuan mind mapping pada pembelajaran materi larutan penyangga.
