Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penguatan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam berbagai kehidupan termasuk pengembangan manajemen perguruan tinggi. Banten memiliki kearifan lokal jawara yang di dalamnya terdapat nilai-nilai yang dapat dikembangkan. Untirta sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang berkembang di Banten berupaya menginternalisasi dan mengimplementasikan kearifan lokal melalui pengembangan nilai JAWARA yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai jujur, adil, wibawa, amanah, religius dan akuntabel. Masalah utama yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mengimplementasikan, aktualisasi, bentuk program dan pemahaman serta penilaian program seluruh sivitas akademika Untirta terhadap nilai JAWARA dalam manajemen perguruan tinggi yang berorientasi peningkatan mutu. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnopedagogi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Untirta melakukan upaya mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai JAWARA yang terdiri dari nilai jujur, adil, wibawa, amanah, religius dan akuntabel. Nilai –nilai tersebut dirumuskan dalam berbagai aspek, dimulai dari tataran dokumen yuridis berupa pedoman Universitas sampai pada implementasi pelaksanaannya. Pimpinan Universitas mengupayakan proses implementasi nilai-nilai JAWARA sehingga menjadi tatanan nilai yang terinternalisasi pada seluruh sivitas akademika. Sebagai bentuk penguatan dari nilai JAWARA, melalui penelitian ini, peneliti memberikan rekomendasi untuk menambahkan nilai solidaritas dan keberanian untuk melengkapi nilai JAWARA yang sudah dikembangkan Untirta. Hal ini diperkuat dari karakteristik kearifan JAWARA yang berkembang dalam masyarakat Banten. Melalui penguatan solidaritas dan keberanian diharapkan akan meningkatkan kualitas Untirta dalam membangun komunitas intelektual dan menjadikan Untirta sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang unggul baik dalam tataran nasional dan mampu menembus ranking internasional. Additional Information: This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening local wisdom values in various aspects of life, including the development of higher education management. Banten has the local wisdom of jawara in which some values can be developed. Untirta, as a higher education institution that is developing in Banten, seeks to internalize and implement local wisdom through the development of JAWARA values, which are shown by the values of honesty, fairness, authority, trustworthiness, religion, and accountability. The main problem raised in this study is how to implement, actualize, form the program, and understand and evaluate the entire Untirta academic community on the value of JAWARA in higher education management, which is oriented towards quality improvement. This research was developed using a qualitative approach with ethnopedagogical methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The study results show that Untirta is trying to implement JAWARA's values which consist of honest, fair, authoritative, trustworthy, religious, and accountable values. These values are formulated in various aspects, starting from the level of juridical documents in the form of University guidelines to their implementation. The University leadership seeks the process of implementing JAWARA's values so that they become internalized values throughout the entire academic community. As a form of strengthening the values of JAWARA, through this research, researchers provide recommendations to add values of solidarity and courage to complement the values of JAWARA that Untirta has developed. This is reinforced by the characteristics of JAWARA's wisdom that has developed in Banten society. Through strengthening solidarity and courage, it is hoped that it will improve the quality of Untirta in building an intellectual community and make Untirta a superior higher education institution both at the national level and able to penetrate international rankings.
