Abstract

The efficient use of electrical energy is something that needs to be considered in a building. The intensity of the use of electrical energy in Indonesia itself is still not efficient because a lot of it is wasted for nothing, such as when there is no one in the room and the air conditioner is still on. This causes excess consumption. System optimization that can reduce the intensity of electric power consumption is very necessary. Genetic Algorithm (GA) or in Indonesian Genetic Algorithm (GA) is an algorithm that is used for the optimization process. GA is also a search technique that imitates the natural evolutionary process where the main concept is that the most superior individuals will survive, while other weak individuals will become extinct. The superiority of these individuals is tested through a function known as the fitness function. Fitness in GA is defined as a description of the feasibility of a solution to a problem. The fitness function will generate a fitness value which will be a reference for the next GA process. By using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) method, it is hoped that it can optimize the use of electrical energy in the Electrical Engineering Vocational Laboratory, FKIP - Untirta and how large will the results be after optimization.

Additional Information: Penggunaan energi listrik secara efisien merupakan suatu hal yang perlu diperhatikan pada sebuah bangunan. Intensitas pemakaian energi listrik di indonesia sendiri masih belum efisien karena banyak yang terbuang secara percuma seperti saat tidak ada orang didalam ruangan lalu AC tetap menyala. Hal ini menyebabkan adanya konsumsi yang berlebih. Pengoptimalan sistem yang dapat mengurangi intensitas konsumsi daya listrik sangat diperlukan. Genetic Algorithm (GA) atau dalam bahasa indonesia Algoritma Genetika (GA) ini merupakan suatu algoritma yang digunakan untuk proses optimasi. GA juga merupakan teknik pencarian yang mencontoh proses evolusi alami dimana konsep utamanya yaitu individu-individu yang paling unggul akan bertahan hidup, sedangkan individu lainnya yang lemah akan punah. Keunggulan dari individu- individu ini diuji melalui suatu fungsi yang dikenal dengan fitness function. Fitness dalam GA didefinisikan sebagai gambaran kelaykan suatu solusi terhadap suatu permasalahan. Fitness Function akan menghasilkan suatu nilai fitness value yang akan menjadi referensi untuk proses GA selanjutnya. Dengan menggunakan metode Genetic Algorithm (GA) ini diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan pemakaian energi listrik di Laboratorium Vokasional Teknik Elektro FKIP - Untirta serta hasil sebesar besarkah nantinya setelah dioptimalkan.
