Abstract

The research aims to develop a tool for evaluating students’ scientific communication in biology learning in high school. This research has used the research and development model of instruments according to Borg and Gall, with thE research and information collecting, planning, and develop preliminary form of product. The results of this research are scientific communication evaluation instruments in the form of books consisting of descriptions of scientific communication materials, a grid, and instruments for the evaluation of scientific communications in biology. Based on the test of book experts, this scientific communication assessment instrument obtained an average score of 69.23% with a qualifying category.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian komunikasi ilmiah siswa pada pembelajaran biologi SMA/MA. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan instrumen menurut Borg and Gall, dengan tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu penelitian dan pengumpulan data, perencanaan, dan pengembangan draft produk. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa instrumen penilaian komunikasi ilmiah dalam bentuk buku yang terdiri dari uraian materi komunikasi ilmiah, kisi-kisi dan instrumen penilaian komunikasi ilmiah dalam pembelajaran biologi. Berdasarkan uji ahli buku instrumen penilaian komunikasi ilmiah ini mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 69,23% dengan kategori layak.
