Abstract
This study aims to build a new empirical model based on signalling theory to overcome research problems and research gaps and analyze the influence between variables formulated in the conceptual model, namely the role of profitability in mediating the relationship of liquidity and solvency with stock prices. This research is a type of quantitative research using secondary data obtained from stock summaries and financial statements of 12 building construction sub-sector companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2021 period. The data analysis technique in this study was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis using SmartPLS version 3. The results showed that liquidity had no significant effect on stock prices, solvency had a positive and significant effect on stock prices, profitability had a positive and significant effect on stock prices, liquidity had a positive and significant effect on profitability, solvency had no significant effect on profitability, profitability was able to mediate the relationship of liquidity with stock prices, and profitability was unable to mediate the relationship solvency with the stock prices.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah model empiris baru berdasarkan signalling theory agar dapat mengatasi masalah penelitian dan kesenjangan hasil penelitian serta menganalisis pengaruh antar variabel yang dirumuskan dalam model konseptual yaitu peran profitabilitas dalam memediasi hubungan likuiditas dan solvabilitas dengan harga saham. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari ringkasan saham dan laporan keuangan 12 perusahaan sub sektor kontruksi bangunan yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2015-2021. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis Struktural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan menggunakan SmartPLS versi 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa likuiditas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap harga saham, solvabilitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap harga saham, profitabilitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap harga saham, likuiditas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, solvabilitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, profitabilitas mampu memediasi hubungan likuiditas dengan harga saham, dan profitabilitas tidak mampu memediasi hubungan solvabilitas dengan harga saham. | |||||||||
