Abstract

ABSTRACT Amir Fatah. NIM. 2321120075. The Influence of Experiment Activity in the Laboratory and Self Discipline to Physics Learning Outcome of XII Science Students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Cilegon. Thesis of learning Technology Study Program, Post scholar of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa 2013 University The study was held at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Cilegon in Cilegon, first semester of school year 2013/2014. The study uses quantitative approach with experiment method using design treatment by level 2 x 2, at the same time data collection method is accomplished through questionnaire. Validity testing uses Pearson correlation coefficient and reliability testing uses Cronbach Alpha coefficient. Data analysis technique uses Liliefors normality testing, homogeneity testing with the biggest variant comparison is divided by the smallest variant, and hypothesis testing uses ANOVA two ways The study purposes are for: (1) Recognizing the difference of physics learning outcome between learning process with experiment activity in the laboratory and conventional learning process (without experiment activity, (2) recognizing the difference of physics learning outcome between student who has high self discipline and who has low self discipline, (3) recognizing the interaction between experiment activity in the laboratory and self discipline to physic learning outcome, (4) recognizing the difference of physic learning outcome between learning process with experiment activity in the laboratory with high self discipline and learning process without experiment activity with high self discipline, and (5) recognizing the difference of physic learning outcome between learning process of experiment activity in the laboratory with low self discipline and learning process without experiment activity with low self discipline.) From study result is known that leaning outcome data moreover self disciplines distribute normal and has homogeny character. Hypothesis testing result shows that first hypothesis tested the truth because F hitung > F (30,70 > 4,08) on 5% significant level. The second hypothesis testing result shows that F tabel (101,61 > 4,08) on 5 % significant level so that hypothesis is tested the truth. For the third hypothesis testing F hitung < F (0,36 < 4,08) on 5% significant level, it is proved that the third hypothesis is rejected and it is not revealed the truth. The fourth and fifth hypothesis cannot be preceded, in another words the fourth and fifth hypothesis are rejected and they are not revealed the truth Key words are: Experiment Activity, Self Discipline and Learning Outcome
