Abstract

The current learning process does not yet utilize modern learning models and the use of interactive technology as a learning medium, which results in not optimally improving students' critical thinking abilities and slow understanding. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Models Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model with animation films on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of tenth grade students in light vehicle department at Pandeglang 2 Vocational School on energy conversion machine subject. The research method used is quasi experimental design with a posttest-only control group design. The research was carried out in tenth grade majoring in light vehicle department at Pandeglang 2 Vocational School with a sample consisting of 2 classes, a total of 33 students as class control and a total of 34 students as class experiment. Based on hypothesis testing, the value (Sig.) obtained is less than 0.05 (0.00 < 0.05) so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a significant influence of the models Creative Problem Solving (CPS) with animation films on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes on energy conversion machine subject. This research recommends that the CPS models and animation movies media be used in learning activity to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes.

Additional Information: Proses pembelajaran saat ini belum memaksimalkan model pembelajaran modern dan pemanfaatan teknologi interaktif sebagai media pembelajarannya, dalam proses pembelajaran diketahui masih adanya permasalahan, yakni belum secara optimal mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam memecahkan masalah, juga lambatnya pemahaman materi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dengan film animasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X TKR SMAN 2 Pandeglang pada materi mesin konversi energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design dengan jenis posttest-only control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada kelas X jurusan TKR di SMKN 2 Pandeglang dengan sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas X TKR 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 33 siswa dan kelas X TKR 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 34 siswa. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai (Sig.) kurang dari 0,05 (0,00 < 0,05) sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dengan film animasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi mesin konversi energi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar model CPS dan media film animasi digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa.
