Abstract
This research is motivated by the researcher's interest in Debus art which focuses on form values and content values, the aesthetics contained in Alamadad. To find out the values and meanings that exist in the object under study, so that the results of the discussion in this study can benefit the general public, the educational environment, and especially the people of Serang City. The purpose of this study is to find out more about Alamadad's aesthetics, form values and content values. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative using observation, interviews, documentation and literature study as a medium for data collection. The results of the study found that specifically in terms of aesthetics, Alamadad has a unique visual form, aesthetics in form has value. The value of the Alamadad form itself lies in the materials used, and the value of the content or meaning contained therein is Banten's philosophy and symbol of power. It can be concluded that the aesthetics contained in Alamadad with the approach of several theories by A.G Baumgarten and Roland Barthes can be concluded that connotatively Alamadad is one of the symbols of the power and strength of the Banten people, the characteristics, symbols and identity of Banten. Denoctatively, apart from beautiful and not beautiful Alamadad forms, it can be seen from the visual form, it actually means that Alamadad is a property or tool used in Debus performances.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh ketertarikan peneliti terhadap kesenian Debus yang berfokus pada nilai bentuk dan nilai isi, estetika yang terkandung dalam Alamadad. Untuk mencari tahu nilai dan makna yang ada pada objek yang diteliti, sehingga bisa hasil bahasan dalam penelitian ini dapat bermanafaat untuk masyarakat umum, lingkungan pendidikan, dan khususnya oleh masyarakat Kota Serang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mencari lebih dalam tentang estetika Alamadad, nilai bentuk dan nilai isi. Metodologi yang digunakan, yaitu Kualitatif Deskriptif dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumetasi dan studi pustaka sebagai media pengumpulan data. Hasil Penelitian yang didapat bahwa secara khusus bentuk secara estetika, Alamadad mempunyai bentuk visual yang unik, estetika secara bentuk, memiliki nilai. Nilai bentuk Alamadad itu sendiri terletak pada bahan-bahan yang digunakan, dan nilai isi atau makna yang terkandung didalamnya adalah fiolosofi dan simbol kekuatan Banten. Dapat disimpulakn bahwa estetika yang terkandung dalam Alamadad dengan pendekatan dari beberapa teori A.G Baumgarten dan Roland Barthes dapat simpulkan bahwa secara konotatif Alamadad menjadi salah satu lambang kesaktian dan kekuatan masyarakat Banten, ciri khas, simbol, dan identitas Banten. Secara denoktatif terlepas dari bentuk Alamadad indah dan tidak indah, bisa dilihat dari bentuk visual, artinya sebenarnya bahwa Alamadad adalah properti atau alat yang digunakan dalam pertujukan Debus. | |||||||||
