Abstract

Solar panels are a type of renewable energy generator that is widely used by the wider community. However, in operation solar panels have a disadvantage, namely very low efficiency. One way to improve the performance of solar panels is to find the MPP (Maximum Power Point) point on the V-P curve of the solar panel. The purpose of this study is to find the maximum point of the solar panel so that the output power is maximized. This research has succeeded in making a model of a solar panel-based MPPT system using the Artificial Bee Colony method using a DC-DC converter of the choke type. The model is made using Solarland 200 WP solar panels. The difference in output power based on the test results obtained the results of the power efficiency generated by solar panels using MPPT on changes in irradiation with an average fixed temperature of 99.06%. At temperature changes with constant irradiation the average is 99.12%.

Additional Information: Panel surya merupakan jenis pembangkit energi terbarukan yang banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat luas. Namun, dalam operasinya panel surya memiliki kekurangan yaitu efisiensi yang sangat rendah. Salah satu cara unuk meningkatkan kinerja panel surya adalah dengan menemukan titik MPP (Maximum Power Point) pada kurva V-P panel surya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menemukan titik maksimum panel surya sehingga daya output menjadi maksimal. Penelitian ini telah berhasil membuat model sistem MPPT berbasis panel surya dengan metode Artificial Bee Colony menggunakan DC-DC convertertipe cuk. Model yang dibuat menggunakan panel surya Solarland 200 WP. Perbedaan daya output berdasarkan hasil pengujian didapatkan hasil efisiensi daya yang dihasilkan panel surya menggunakan MPPT pada perubahan iradiasi dengan suhu tetap rata-rata adalah 99,06%. Pada perubahan suhu dengan iradiasi tetap rata-rata adalah 99,12%.
