Abstract

The purpose of this research and development is to (1) To find out the feasibility of learning animated videos using Powtoon Class V theme 3 to improve HOTS abilities in SD Negeri Rawu Serang (2) To find out students' critical thinking skills towards learning activities using Powtoon Class V Theme 3 to improve HOTS capabilities. This research and development was carried out from December 2021 to November 2022 located at SD Negeri Rawu. The development model used is with 5 steps, namely ADDIE which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data analysis techniques in this study were validation questionnaires, student responses, pre-tests, and post-tests. This study shows that animated video media using powtoon to improve HOTS ability gets an interpretation of the "Very Good" category with a percentage of 88%. Material validation received an interpretation of the "Very Good" category with a percentage of 86.5%. The validation feasibility test results from all expert teams obtained an average score of 87.25%. The results of critical thinking skills go through two stages using the pre-test and post-test. Learning activities with pre-test results obtained are an average of 54.3%. After students learn by using Powtoon media, the value of students has increased. After taking the post-test, you get a percentage with an average score of 92.3%. So from that it can be seen that the existence of powtoon media can improve students' critical thinking skills from what was less to very good.

Penelitian dan pengembangan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021 sampai bulan November 2022 berlokasi di SD Negeri Rawu. Model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu dengan 5 langkah yaitu ADDIE yang terdiri dari analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket validasi, respon peserta didik, Pre-test, dan Post-test. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media video animasi menggunakan powtoon untuk meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS mendapat interpretasi kategori “Sangat Baik” dengan persentase 88%. Validasi materi mendapat inerpretasi kategori “Sangat Baik” dengan persentase 86,5%. Hasil uji kelayakan validasi dari semua tim ahli memperoleh skor rata-rata 87,25%. Hasil dari kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui dua tahapan dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan pembelajaran dengan hasil pre-test yang di peroleh yaitu rata-rata sebesar 54,3 % . Setelah peserta didik belajar dengan menggunakan media powtoon nilai peserta didik mengalami peningkatan. Setelah mengikuti Post-test di dapatkan persentase dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 92,3%. Maka dari itu dapat diketahui bahwa dengan adanya media powtoon dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dari yang tadinya kurang menjadi sangat baik.
