Abstract
Learning that was carried out boldly for two years left problems at school, namely the problem of low student interest in learning. Through interviews, it is known that the open materials used in schools are less varied, so that learning does not develop in a pleasant manner. So research was conducted to develop ethnoscience-based science e-encyclopedia teaching materials with the theme of Indonesian herbal medicine to foster interest in learning. The reason for choosing the Science e-Encyclopedia as the teaching material being developed is because the Science e-Encyclopedia is a reference book, so it is hoped that the use of the Science e-Encyclopedia can help develop learning. This study uses the research and development method with Thiagarajan's 4D development model. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2022–2023 academic year at 2 public junior high schools in Serang City with a sample of 30 class VIII students. The percentage value of the material expert validation is 92.5%, which is included in the very valid category. The percentage value of material expert validation is 92%, which is included in the very valid category. The percentage value of the expert practitioner validation is 93%, which is included in the very valid category. Then the percentage value of student responses obtained a percentage of 82.5%, which is included in the very good category.

Additional Information: | Pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring selama dua tahun menyisakan permasalahan di sekolah yakni permasalahan minat belajar siswa yang rendah. Melalui wawancara diketahui bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan di sekolah kurang variatif sehingga pembelajaran tidak berkembang dengan menyenangkan. Sehingga dilakukan penelitian untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar e-Ensiklopedia IPA berbasis etnosains dengan tema ragam jamu Indonesia untuk menumbuhkan minat belajar. Alasan pemilihan e-Ensiklopedia IPA sebagai bahan ajar yang dikembangkan adalah karena e-Ensiklopedia IPA adalah buku referensi sehingga diharapkan penggunaan e-Ensiklopedia IPA dapat membantu mengembangkan pembelajaran. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development dengan model pengembangan 4D milik Thiagarajan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester ganjil TA 2022/2023 di 2 SMP Negeri di Kota Serang dengan sampel 30 siswa kelas VIII. Nilai persentase validasi ahli bahan adalah 92,5% termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat valid. Nilai persentase validasi ahli materi adalah 92% termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat valid. Nilai persentase validasi ahli praktisi adalah 93% termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat valid.
