Abstract

ABSTRACT LILI GOJALI, 2014. ANALYSIS OF MARKETING CHANNEL OF PALM SUGAR (IN THE CASE OF A HOME INDUSTRY IN THE VILLAGE OF CIGEMBLONG SUB-DISTRICT OF CIGEMBLONG REGENCY OF LEBAK). GUIDED BY H. SUHERNA AND H. GUGUN GUNAWAN. This research aims to know the marketing channels of Palm Sugar, knowing the functions that are performed by each agency marketing, and to figure out the most efficient marketing channel in the marketing of Palm sugar from the Village of Cigemblong Sub-District of Cigemblong Regency of Lebak.Areas of research in the specified purpose of the Village Cigemblong and respondents taken done by stratified random marketing agencies with a method and snowball sampling. manufacturers of as many as 28 people, merchants, merchant 2 collectors big 2 and 19 people retailers. the data used in the form of primary data and secondary data. This research method using descriptive and quantitative methods. Results of the study showed that there were three Palm sugar marketing channels is, Channel I : producer – merchant retailers – consumers, marketing Chanel II : producer - Middle-men – wholesalers - merchant retailer – consumer and marketing Chanel III : producer – wholesalers – consumer. Channel I have a marketing margin of Rp.3500-/kg, farmer’share is 70,83%, technical efficiency 141,17 and economical efficiency 2,39. Channel II have a marketing margin of Rp.4.744,45-/kg, farmer’share is Rp. 63,37% technical efficiency 20,23 and economical efficiency 2,74. Channel III have a marketing margin of Rp.3500-/kg, farmer’share is 69,56%, technical efficiency 19,12 and economical efficiency 2,98. From the above data then can be drawn conclusion III marketing channel marketing channels are most efficient technical efficiency values most because small and economical efficiency is greatest.
