Abstract
PT XYZ is engaged in the chemical industry sector specifically for the plastic and synthetic rubber industries. In the HDCA production process, there are 7 stages, one of which is the heating process that works at high temperature pressure, which risks causing explosions and fires. The production process has a risk of work accidents for workers and losses for the company, therefore identifying potential hazards using the HAZOP method. HAZOP is an identification technique used to systematically review the hazards of a process or operation in a system. Based on the research that has been done, there are 3 potential hazards in the low risk category with a percentage value of 15%, 5 medium categories with a percentage value of 25%, 8 high categories with a percentage value of 40%, and 4 extreme categories with a percentage value. Proposed handling of potential hazards in the form of substitution such as replacing machinery and equipment, design such as making improvements to the machine, administration such as providing visual warnings, and PPE such as safety helmets, safety shoes, ear plugs, and masks.

Additional Information: | PT XYZ bergerak disektor industri bahan kimia khusus untuk industri plastik dan karet sintetis. Pada proses produksi HDCA terdapat 7 tahapan salah satunya proses pemanasan yang bekerja pada tekanan temperature yang tinggi, yang berisiko mengakibatkan ledakan dan kebakaran. Proses produksi tersebut memiliki risiko kecelakaan kerja bagi pekerja dan kerugian bagi pihak perusahaan, oleh karena itu dilakukan identifikasi potensi bahaya menggunakan metode HAZOP. HAZOP merupakan teknik identifikasi yang digunakan untuk meninjau hazard suatu proses atau operasi pada suatu sistem secara sistematis. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan 3 potensi bahaya kategori risiko rendah sebesar 15%, 5 kategori sedang dengan nilai persentase 25%, 8 kategori tinggi dengan nilai persentase 40%, dan 4 kategori ekstrim dengan nilai persentase. Dilakukan usulan penanganan potensi bahaya berupa subtistusi seperti mengganti mesin dan peralatan, perancangan seperti melakukan perbaikan pada mesin, administrasi seperti menyediakan visual warning, dan APD seperti helm safety, sepatu safety, ear plug, dan masker. | |||||||||
