Abstract
This study aims to describe the form and function of directive speech acts in the dialogue of the film Sweet 20 directed by Ody C. Harahap which is then implicated in learning in senior high school. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data were analyzed using the free-involved listening technique and the note-taking technique. The findings of the data generated in this study as a whole amounted to 41 data on the form of directive speech acts and their functions. Data on the use of directive speech acts can be broken down as follows: (1) the directive form of the command and its function as much as 8 data; (2) form of request directive and function as much as 15 data; (3) form of solicitation directive and function as much as 5 data; 4) form of advisory directive and function as much as 5 data; 5) form of directive criticism and function as much as 3 data; and (6) prohibition directives and their functions as much as 5 data.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur direktif dalam dialog film Sweet 20 sutradara Ody C. Harahap yang kemudian diimplikasikan dalam pembelajaran di SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dianalisis dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Temuan data yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini secara keseluruhan berjumlah 41 data bentuk tindak tutur direktif beserta fungsinya. Data penggunaan tindak tutur direktif dapat diperinci sebagai berikut: (1) bentuk direktif perintah dan fungsinya sebanyak 8 data; (2) bentuk direktif permintaan dan fungsinya sebanyak 15 data; (3) bentuk direktif ajakan dan fungsinya sebanyak 5 data; 4) bentuk direktif nasihat dan fungsinya sebanyak 5 data; 5) bentuk direktif kritikan dan fungsinya sebanyak 3 data; dan (6) direktif larangan dan fungsinya sebanyak 5 data. | |||||||||
