Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model with the student facilitator and explaining methods on students' cognitive learning outcomes in motion system material. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental using a pretest-posttest control group design. The discovery learning model uses the student facilitator and explaining method as the independent variable and students' cognitive learning outcomes as the dependent variable. The population in this study were all class XI students of SMAN 2 Pandeglang for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class XI B as the experimental class and class XI C as the control class. The sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling. Data collection techniques using question sheets and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques using the t test (paired sample t-test) to test the hypothesis. The t test results show a significance value of 0.000. This shows that there are differences students cognitive learning in the application of the discovery learning model with the student facilitator and explaining method to the cognitive learning outcomes of SMAN 2 Pandeglang students in class XI on movement system material.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan metode student facilitator and explaining terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi sistem gerak. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen yang menggunakan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Model discovery learning dengan metode student facilitator and explaining sebagai variabel bebas dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Pandeglang tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI C sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar soal dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji t (paired sample t-test) untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan metode student facilitator and explaining terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa SMAN 2 Pandeglang di kelas XI pada materi sistem gerak. | |||||||||
