Abstract
Indonesia, known as an agricultural country, is a country rich in natural resources, and most of the population works as farmers who depend on the agricultural sector for their income. Communities in Beberan Village, especially the younger generation, are expected to have good views and perceptions of the agricultural sector and be able to contribute to agricultural development in their area. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze how the perceptions and factors of the younger generation towards work in the agricultural sector in Beberan Village, Ciruas District. Sampling was done by questionnaire method and direct observation method. The younger generation of respondents in Beberan Village aged 17-30 years were 88 respondents. The data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview method, questionnaire method and direct observation method. This type of research is quantitative and the data analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis and Spearman's rank correlation. The tests carried out were in the form of research instrument tests, Spearman Rank correlation tests, and hypothesis testing. This research is located in Beberan Village, Ciruas District, Serang Regency. Determination of the research area is done purposively or deliberately. The R square result has a value of 0.450 which means that it is equal to 450 the perception of the younger generation towards work in the agricultural sector in Beberan Village, Ciruas District. The results of this study showed that 100% of external factors related to perceptions of work in the agricultural sector were in the very high category and 68.2% of the perceptions of the younger generation were in the very high category. There is a very significant positive relationship between perceptions and perception factors in agriculture. This positive relationship states that the higher the perception factors of the younger generation, the higher the perception of work in agriculture.

| Additional Information: | Indonesia dengan sebutan negara agraris, merupakan negara yang kaya akan sumber daya alam, serta sebagian besar penduduknya berprofesi sebagai petani yang menggantungkan pendapatannya dari sektor pertanian. Masyarakat di Desa beberan terutama generasi muda diharapkan memiliki pandangan dan persepsi yang baik terhadap sektor pertanian serta mampu memberikan kontribusi dalam pembangunan pertanian di daerahnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bagaimana persepsi dan faktor-faktor generasi muda terhadap pekerjaan di sektor pertanian di Desa beberan Kecamatan Ciruas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode angket kuisioner dan metode observasi langsung. Responden generasi muda di Desa Beberan kisaran umur 17-30 tahun sebanyak 88 responden. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, metode angket kuisioner dan metode observasi langsung. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dan analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan korelasi Rank Spearman. Adapun uji yang dilakukan berupa uji instrument penellitian, uji korelasi Rank Spearman, serta uji hipotesis. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Desa Beberan Kecamatan Ciruas Kabupaten Serang. Penentuan daerah penelitian dilakukan secara purposive atau sengaja. Hasil R square memiliki nilai 0,450 artinya sesbesar 450 persepsi generasi muda terhadap pekerjaan di sektor pertanian di Desa Beberan Kecamatan Ciruas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sebanyak 100% faktor eksternal berhubungan terhadap persepsi pekerjaan disektor pertanian pada kategori sangat tinggi dan 68,2% persepsi generasi muda berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Secara terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat nyata antar persepsi dengan faktor-faktor persepsi dibidang pertanian. Hubungan positif tersebut menyatakan bahwa semakin tinggi faktor-faktor persepsi generasi muda maka akan semakin tinggi pula persepsi terhadap pekerjaan dibidang pertanian. | |||||||||
