AnalysisofHRPOProduction ProcessUsingLean ManufacturingMethodWithSimulationApproachInCold RollingMillDivision Ekobuono Jati Widodo 1 ,Lely Herlina vii 2 ,Evi Febianti Department ofIndustrialEngineeringUniversity ofSultanAgengTirtayasa [email protected](1),[email protected](2),[email protected](3) ABSTRACT PT.KS(Krakatau Steel.Tbk) is engaged in the steel production process.Adivision of PT.KS is aCRM(Cold RollingMill)whichproducessteel sheet coilcold form.This studycovers the productionprocess at theoutput of themillproductsCPL(ContinuousPicklingLine) in the form ofHRPO(HotRoll PickleOil)which is included in theproduct categoryof PTcoil superior.KS.But infact, there are inefficiencies in theproduction process.The purposeof this studyis thecomparison of the value of the PCE(ProcessCycleEfficiency)after theidentification of waste and reduction of sub-sub-activity which causes theproductionis not optimalinthe CRMdivisionmodelingandsimulationto designa system to compare the results of the average output of the simulationunitbetweenconditionsexistingandproposedselected.The method usedtocopewithlean manufacturing waste is that which there are 7 kinds of waste isoverproduction,wastetransportation,waiting,over-processingwaste,inventory,motionwaste,and thewasteproduct defect.After the identification of thesevenwaste, thenperform themapping to find the right tools to useValue StreamAnalysisTools(VALSAT).Based on the calculation of the percentageof wasteobtained workshops occurred is 22.86% of waste transportation(1), (2)inventoryby 20%,amounting to19.05%of wastemotion(3),(4)defect waste product by17.14%,(5)over12.38%of wasteprocessing,(6)waitingof8:57%,and(7)overproductionisequal to0%.Total timewhenproductioncycleprocessHRPOby975second, toreduce the lead timenecessary to designarepairby using the tools Process Activity Mapping, Big Picture Mapping, SimulationSystem,as well asa comparisonbetween the existing conditionand thebestproposalswith ProcessCycleEfficiency.After that, built asimulation model ofthe proposed improvement. Based Process Cycle Efficiency obtainedrecapitulation increase production time from 68% to 72%. Proposed-2simulationmodels tobeproposed improvement ischosen to optimize the outputHRPO from145units to164 units.Thus there is an increase in19units ofproductHRPOin1shift.
