Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of strengthening the character education of students' responsibilities through giving assignments to class IV SD. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection procedures, namely observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out in this study by Miles and Huberman through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results in this study indicate that 1) the planning has been carried out using in-depth interview techniques with informants as a form of data search and direct observation in the field which the researcher then analyzes. Educational analysis focuses on implementing the character of responsibility through giving students learning assignments. 2) implementation by providing good habits so that students are able to behave and act based on the values that have become their personality, are trained consistently and only then become the character of the students. Teachers play a very important role in strengthening character education for their students. 3) the developmental impact of the process of implementing character education for students to strengthen character through harmonization of heart (ethics), taste (aesthetic), thought (literacy) with support involving collaboration between schools, families and communities to develop it. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the process of strengthening the character education responsibilities of fourth grade elementary school students through the provision of learning assignments is good in terms of planning, implementation and impact on students.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses penguatan pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik melalui pemberian tugas pada kelas IV SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deksriptif kualitatif dengan prosedur pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini oleh Miles and Huberman melalui empat tahapan yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) perencanaan yang sudah dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara secara mendalam dengan narasumber sebagai bentuk pencarian data dan observasi langsung di lapangan yang kemudian peneliti analisis. Analisis pendidikan terfokus pada mengimplementasikan karakter tanggung jawab melalui pemberian tugas belajar peserta didik. 2) pelaksanaannya dengan memberikan kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang baik sehingga peserta didik mampu bersikap dan bertindak berdasarkan nilai-nilai yang telah menjadi kepribadiannya, dilatih secara konsisten dan kemudian barulah menjadi karakter peserta didik. Guru sangat berperan dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter bagi peserta didiknya. 3) dampak perkembangan dari proses pelaksanaan pendidik karakter yang dilakukan kepada peserta didik untuk memperkuat karakter melalui harmonisasi olah hati (etik), olah rasa (estetis), olah pikir (literasi) dengan adanya dukungan melibatkan kerjasama antara sekolah, keluarga dan masyarakat untuk mengembangkannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses penguatan pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik kelas IV SD melalui pemberian tugas belajar sudah baik dari segi perencanaan, pelaksanaan serta dampak bagi peserta didik.
