Abstract

The productivity of spinach at PT. Agrindo Lestari Nusantara Sentosaabadi has been decreasing caused by not optimal water discharge and the use of inappropriate variety. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of water discharge used and variety on the growth and yield of spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.). This research was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023, at PT. Agrindo Lestari Nusantara Sentosaabadi (Jl. Laut Samudera E9/11, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta) and Laboratory of Basic Sciences and Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Serang City, Banten Province. This experiment used a split plot design with water discharge (D) as the main plot which consists of 4 levels, namely discharge of 1 liter/minute (D1), 2 liters/minute (D2), 3 liters/minute (D3), and 4 liters/minute (D4). The subplots were varieties (V) which consisted of Maestro variety (V1) and Mira variety (V2). The results showed that the water discharge treatment (D) showed a significant effect on the parameters of number of leaves at 15, 20, and 25 Days After Planting (DAP) and plant height at 15 DAP, but had no effect on leaf area, plant fresh weight, plant crown weight, leaf chlorophyll content, and leaf color. In the treatment of the type of variety (V) showed very significant effect on the parameters of observation of the number of leaves, plant height, leaf area, and plant fresh weight. Mira variety showed a very significant effect on the growth of the number of leaves on 25 DAP (67.81), plant height (28.42 cm), leaf area (7.11 cm2), plant fresh weight (7.63 g), crown weight plant (2.49 g) and leaf chlorophyll content (14.29 μg/cm2).

Additional Information: Produktivitas tanaman bayam di PT. Agrindo Lestari Nusantara Sentosaabadi mengalami penurunan akibat debit air yang tidak optimal dan penggunaan varietas yang tidak tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh debit air yang digunakan dan varietas terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bayam (Amaranthus tricolor L.). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2022 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2023 di PT. Agrindo Lestari Nusantara Sentosaabadi (Jl. Laut Samudera E9/11, Duren Sawit, Jakarta Timur) dan Laboratorium Ilmu Pengetahuan Dasar dan Perlindungan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten. Eksperimen ini dirancang menggunakan split plot design dengan petak utama yaitu debit air (D) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu debit 1 liter/menit (D1), debit 2 liter/menit (D2), debit 3 liter/menit (D3), dan debit 4 liter/menit (D4). Adapun anak petak yakni varietas (V) yang terdiri dari varietas Maestro (V1) dan varietas Mira (V2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan debit air (D) memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun umur 15, 20, dan 25 Hari Setelah Pindah Tanam (HSPT) serta tinggi tanaman umur 15 HSPT, namun tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap luas daun, bobot segar tanaman, bobot tajuk tanaman, kandungan klorofil daun, dan warna daun. Pada perlakuan jenis varietas (V) menunjukkan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman, luas daun, dan bobot segar tanaman. Varietas Maestro menunjukkan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan jumlah daun 25 HSPT (67,81 helai), tinggi tanaman (28,42 cm), luas daun (7,11 cm2), berat segar tanaman (7,63 g), berat tajuk tanaman (2,49 g) dan kadar klorofil daun (14,29 μg/cm2). Tidak terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan debit air dengan jenis varietas karena menunjukan hasil yang tidak nyata diseluruh parameter pengamatan.
