Abstract

This study aims to create and to determine the feasibility of student’s worksheet based on learning cycle 7E on the concept of plant growth and development as teaching materials for class XII high school students based on expert tests and limited tests of user responses, namely teachers and students. This research has a Research and Development (R&D) study. The research design in this study used the 4D development model modified into 3D consisting of define, design, and develop. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire with a likert scale for assessment by material experts, media experts, and teachers. A questionnaire with a gutmann scale was used for a limited test of student responses. The results of a feasibility assessment of student worksheet based on the overall expert test received a score of 92 % with a very feasible category. The results of the student worksheet feasibility assessment based on user responses by the biology teacher and stundents get a scored of 96% with very feasible category. Based on the results of the study, showed that the learning cycle 7E worksheet on the concept of plant growth and development is very feasible to use as teaching materials for students. .

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun dan mengetahui kelayakan LKS berbasis learning cycle 7E pada konsep pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan sebagai bahan ajar siswa kelas XII SMA berdasarkan uji ahli dan uji terbatas respon pengguna yaitu guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Desain penelitian pada penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3D terdiri dari define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), dan develop (pengembangan). Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan skala likert untuk penilaian oleh ahli materi, media, dan guru. Angket dengan skala gutmann digunakan untuk uji terbatas respon siswa. Hasil penilaian kelayakan LKS berdasarkan uji ahli materi dan media secara keseluruhan mendapatkan nilai 92% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil penilaian kelayakan LKS berdasarkan respon pengguna oleh guru biologi dan siswa mendapatkan nilai 96% dengan kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa LKS learning cycle 7E pada konsep pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar siswa.
