Abstract

There are several ways to reduce the power loss and voltage drop on a power distribution network, one of which is by installing Distributed Generation (DG) in the system at the proper location of the power system. In this research, it is carried out the optimization placement of DG by using ACO, to see the impact of DG on the power grid losses. The results show that by using the ABC method, and by placing 1 DG at the IEEE 33 bus distribution system on bus 6 with a capacity of 3 MW and IEEE 85 buses on bus 9 with a capacity of 2 MW, power losses of 113.120 kW are obtained which results in impairment an active power loss of 97.88 kW from 211.0 kW for IEEE 33 buses while for IEEE 85 buses a power loss of 178.172 kW resulted in a decrease in the value of active power loss of 137.928 kW from 316.1 kW. As well as repairing the voltage profile on the system IEEE 33 bus and IEEE 85 bus.

Additional Information: Ada beberapa cara untuk memperbaiki kualitas tegangan pada jaringan distribusi tenaga listrik yaitu diantaranya dengan memasang DG pada pada sistem tenaga listrik. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dilakukan optimasi penempatan DG dengan menggunakan ACO untuk melihat pengaruh DG terhadap rugi-rugi jaringan listrik. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan dengan menempatkan 1 buah DG pada sistem distribusi IEEE 33 bus pada bus 6 dengan kapasitas sebesar 3 MW menghasilkan penurunan nilai rugi daya aktif dari 211,0 kW menjadi 113,120 kW, sedangkan pada IEEE 85 bus, penempatannya pada bus 9 dengan kapasitas sebesar 2 MW menghasilkan penurunan nilai rugi daya aktif dari 316,1 kW menjadi 178,172 kW. Penempatan DG juga bisa memperbaiki profil tegangan pada sistem IEEE 33 bus dan IEEE 85 bus.
