Abstract

Sumber daya manusia merupakan faktor paling penting dalam produktivitas suatu organisasi karena pemberdayaan karyawan terhadap karyawan sebagai aset perusahaan dipandang sebagai suatu investasi yang akan membantu organisasi mendapatkan tujuan dan kinerja jangka panjang. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan sumber daya manusia memiliki kinerja unggul, sehingga mampu mendorong keberhasilan organisasi. PT. XYZ merupakan salah satu industri baja steel terbesar di Indonesia. PT. XYZ sebagai perusahaan manufaktur sedang melakukan perbaikan dalam kinerjanya seiring membaiknya kondisi pasar baja internasional selama tahun 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur pengaruh positif employee competence terhadap job satisfaction, mengukur pengaruh poitif job satisfaction terhadap employee engagement, mengukur pengaruh positif employee competence terhadap employee performance, mengukur pengaruh positif job satisfaction terhadap employee performance, dan mengukur pengaruh positif employee engagement terhadap employee performance. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah structural equation modeling (SEM) dengan menggunakan software LISREL. Hasil dari penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh positif antara employee competence terhadap job satisfaction dengan nilai sebesar 0,78, job satisfaction terhadap employee engagement dengan nilai sebesar 0,95, employee competence terhadap employee performance dengan nilai sebesar 0,48, job satisfaction terhadap employee performance dengan nilai sebesar 0,40, dan employee engagement terhadap employee performance dengan nilai sebesar 0,18.

Additional Information: Human resources is the most important factor in the productivity of an organization because the empowerment of employees towards employees as an asset of the company is viewed as an investment that will help the organization get goals and long-term performance. Many factors cause human resources has superior performance, so it is able to encourage the success of the organization. PT. XYZ is one of the steel industry steel the largest in Indonesia. PT. XYZ as a manufacturing company was doing some improvement in its performance over improving the international steel market conditions during the year 2016. The purpose of this study is to measure the influence of positive employee competence towards job satisfaction, measure the influence of the positive job satisfaction towards employee engagement, measuring the positive influence of employee competence against employee performance, measuring the positive influence job satisfaction against employee performance, and the positive influence of measuring employee engagement against employee performance. The methods used in this research is the structural equation modeling (SEM) using LISREL software. The results of the research there is a positive influence between employee competence towards job satisfaction with value of 0.78, job satisfaction towards employee engagement with the value of 0.95, employee competence against employee performance with a value of 0.48, job satisfaction against employee performance with value of 0.40, and employee engagement towards employee performance with value of 0.18.
