Abstract

The phenomenon of dakwahtainment is a method of da'wah that incorporates entertainment elements in delivering its message, including humor. One of the dakwahtainment content on the YouTube platform is "Pemuda Tersesat" on the Majelis Lucu Indonesia channel. This research utilized a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method focusing on the "Pemuda Tersesat" content. The research paradigm employed was constructivist. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews with the X, Y, and Z generations, as well as documentation. Triangulation was used to ensure data validity. The findings of the study revealed criticisms from the X and Y generations regarding the excessive comedic elements in dakwahtainment content. However, the Z generation actually enjoyed these elements as they perceived the delivered da'wah to be lighter and more relevant to daily issues. "Pemuda Tersesat" content was regarded as a method of learning Islam, but the X generation argued that the lack of utilization of hadith and shallow materials failed to produce cognitive and affective effects on them, although it still influenced their behavior. On the other hand, the Y and Z generations expressed that "Pemuda Tersesat" content was relevant as a learning method. The differences in reception among informants were attributed to age and knowledge disparities. The Z generation into the category of dominant hegemonic reading viewed the information in the da'wah content as a new experience and insight that fulfilled their cognitive needs. Meanwhile, the X and Y generations fell into the category of negotiated reading due to their different knowledge backgrounds. Their cognitive dissatisfaction, entertainment dissatisfaction, and lack of familiarity with the information prompted them to reinterpret the information obtained from the "Pemuda Tersesat" da'wah content.

Additional Information: Fenomena dakwahtainment adalah metode dakwah yang menggabungkan hiburan dalam menyampaikan pesan, termasuk unsur humor. Salah satu konten dakwahtainment yang ada di platform Youtube adalah Pemuda Tersesat di channel Majelis Lucu Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus pada konten Pemuda Tersesat. Paradigma penelitan yang digunakan adalah konstruktivis. Teknik penumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan penonton generasi X, Y, dan Z, serta dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kritik dari generasi X dan Y terhadap unsur dakwahtainment yang dianggap terlalu menonjolkan unsur komedi. Namun, generasi Z justru menyukai unsur tersebut karena mereka merasa dakwah menjadi lebih ringan dan relevan dengan masalah sehari-hari. Konten "Pemuda Tersesat" dianggap sebagai metode pembelajaran Islam, tetapi generasi X mengkritik kurangnya penggunaan hadis dan materi yang dangkal, yang gagal memberikan efek kognitif dan afektif pada mereka, meskipun masih memiliki efek perilaku. Di sisi lain, generasi Y dan Z menganggap konten tersebut relevan sebagai metode pembelajaran. Perbedaan penerimaan konten ini disebabkan oleh perbedaan usia dan pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing generasi. Generasi Z termasuk pada kategori dominant hegemonic reading karena melihat informasi dalam konten "Pemuda Tersesat" sebagai pengalaman dan wawasan baru yang memenuhi kebutuhan kognitif mereka. Generasi X dan Y termasuk dalam kategori negotiated reading karena mereka mengolah kembali informasi yang diperoleh, akibat ketidakpuasan kognitif, hiburan, dan kurangnya kedekatan informasi yang mereka rasakan dari konten dakwah tersebut.
