Abstract

The problem that is often faced by companies in achieving goals is the poor performance of employees. The purpose of this study is to analyze a model that is expected to improve employee performance by involving emotional intelligence and work discipline with achievement motivation as an intervening variable for inpatient nurses at Banten Hospital. The research method is quantitative using a questionnaire with an interval scale of 1-10 with a sample of 115 inpatient nurses from a population of 314 inpatient nurses to test the five (5) hypotheses that have been set. The Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) model was used to test the statistical significance of the path coefficient. The results of this study explain that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on nurse performance, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on nurse performance, emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on achievement motivation, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on achievement motivation, and achievement motivation has a positive effect and significant to nurse performance. .

Additional Information: Masalah yang sering dihadapi oleh perusahaan dalam mencapai tujuan adalah kinerja yang buruk dari karyawan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis model yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja pegawai dengan melibatkan kecerdasan emosi dan disiplin kerja dengan motivasi berprestasi sebagai variabel intervening pada perawat rawat inap di RSUD Banten. Metode penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat bantuan kuesioner dengan skala interval 1-10 dengan sampel sebanyak 115 perawat rawat inap dari populasi 314 perawat rawat inap untuk menguji lima (5) hipotesis yang telah ditetapkan. Model Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) dipergunakan untuk menguji signifikansi statistik koefisien jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa kecerdasan emosi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat, Disiplin Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat, kecerdasan emosi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi berprestasi, disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi berprestasi, dan motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat.
